Oh, bin ich erstaunt dass der von Revell so gut ist. Hab den frühner mal genutzt aber keine Ahnung wie der war und jetzt nutze ich nur noch den Micro Sol aber in dem Fall teste ich auch wieder mal Revell👍 Danke!!

No! Its pretty much odorless so i dont think it contains vinegar like ingredients

As much as I admire Tamiya kits, their decals need a really strong solution. Not messing with the decals when the solutions are working is the hard part….. we know what will happen, and yet….

Yes, Tamiya is a different thing, they know exactly why they have a "strong" decal fix😄

I'm trying to decide how much tongue in the cheek this video presents. But assuming that you are intending to honestly compare these products while including humor in the mix, I would suggest a few things. First, the decals themselves can have a dramatic effect on the outcome, most of us know that Tamiya decals are thicker and harder to get to conform while Cartograf decals almost settle themselves. So using the same decals in all the tests ((including the first video) would seem like a more fair comparison. Additionally testing against different decals with the same solutions would give a better idea of their effectiveness across a range of decal choices. Second, you mentioned the softening of the underlying paint from the setting solution. I think this may be a function of the types of paint used. I know from watching that you tend to use water based acrylics which I think are more susceptible to this effect than more durable paints such as lacquer-based, enamels, or even alcohol-based acrylics (i.e. Tamiya, AK Real Color, etc). I also believe that the primary focus on these solutions should be in how well they work at settling the decals into the detail. It was somewhat difficult to tell this from the video, but it appeared to me that the Microscale products performed best in this regard (at least in this test). The techniques for using these solutions vary from one user to the next and I for one would like the manufacturers to provide better guidance in this regard. I do like the mentions of the container quality and accessories (brushes built into the caps), but the problem of tipping is a problem of most bottled products that could use some additional work, either in an aftermarket holder product (and a corresponding standardization of bottle sizes), or in something like the Revell bottle which is made heavier and wider at the base. MY preference would be some form of holder that fits the average workbench and has enough properly sized holding locations to be useful. Okay, finally, I realize that what I have mentioned could make for a lengthy and (probably boring) video and this may not fit in with what you have in mind for your channel. Perhaps all we really need is a mention of the effects that the differences in decals, paints, and techniques can have on the use of these solutions.

You are absolutely right with what you mentioned. This is the reason why i called it solution check and not solution test. Because i agree, for a real test, there are far more component to consider, like paint, varnish, type of decals etc. My approach is to check if there are major differences in the general usage of these solutions. But i will try to adapt some of your inputs in the decal solution check part 3👍🏻. Thanks for the feedback!
