Absolutely! Now, to be fair poor mans VR isn’t true VR, but for the purpose of showing off the G2 I will do it and include a few other VR sims/games.

@@theVRpilot For the old Assetto Corsa a few guys already did a through the lens, but nobody did it for the new Competizione (probably because you need a very good PC for that). just an idea For MSFS it really would be intresting how clear you can see the distance compared to an HQ Monitor, even the ''poor mans VR'' could give an good insight for that with a through the lens video :)

Quick answer, actually no. This is one of the better ones I think. Airbus is the worst lol.

Thanks for the feedback Robin! I think it is good for the price. It has a Solid build, maybe 8/10 on fit and finish, it leaves room for improvement with that regard. The USB cable for ME is too short and I had to buy a cheap extension, also I have a complex sim pit with lots of wiring and USB hubs, but luckily it was plug and play! The scrolling mechanism works great. I did notice some aircraft it takes way more input to turn than others, this PA44 was quite sensitive while the airbus neo is not. This falls more on the CFG settings for the aircraft than anything. At the time of purchase a year ago there were NO alternatives to it other than the old Cessna Saitek trim wheel selling for $150-300! I think you might have a few alternatives now. Overall not bad, but check your options since I think we have a few more now.

The G2 so far has been amazing. I was blown away in XP11, it’s beautiful, clear, no pixels, and no issues on tracking for controllers. I know others have had issues but I have been super lucky, even from my old Xp11 VR flights I’ve never had issues. I’ve done hour long flights and it has been great.

With that being said, controller tracking is excellent, the 4 cameras now track me perfectly while I am in my sim pit. You can’t see it but the left of my face is a green screen less than 12 inches away. Before my other headset would occasionally flicker as it lost tracking looking at it. Now with 4 cameras (two looking sideways) I have had zero issues with the head tracking too. The audio is very nice. Well done. I love the lows mids and highs. They don’t touch your ear so it feels like you don’t have headphones on and helps increase the immersion. One possible downside could be ambient noise leaking through to you. Not an issue for me, but others have noted hearing their pc fans etc. but the way it projects the lows is awesome. I crank up the volume when I’m not recording and I love it. While I record i tone it down so I don’t yell the whole time lol. Overall, I love it, excellent upgrade from the g1 and even better from nothing or anything else to be honest.

Yes, I would get it if the price is reasonable. Check that you get the 6 meter cable and the power adapter. You do not NEED controllers as of now. So yes, you can everything with your mouse! Get it! =)

Hey James... Not sure if you are aware this is Poor Mans VR. So It is Virtual Desktop displaying MSFS. It would the same as if i was in Virtual Desktop watching youtube. it is 2D but a huge 85+ inch curved screen with head tracking. hand controllers WORK, but only in Virtual Desktop.
