Good to hear his response on how close current sim technology is getting to the real thing (20 years RAAF + 17 DMO myself). In regard to airspeed and stick tension, your likely maxing out early (I use big servos, so not an issue). Can also recommend an active harness, to simulate pulling Gs in a turn...epic. Good time to be simming.

Oh wow mate that is awesome and appreciate you taking the time to comment. Yea I am actually working on a project to add a motor driven seat belt tensioner to the rig :) I will have a video on this soon. Are you running something like that and what sort of simrig setup have you got? It really is an amazing time to be alive and using these technologies :)

@@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs Just checked my sim and flying level at cruise the 'Aileron and Elevator 'Max force' is sitting around 70% so it has room to increase if you enter a dive etc. If it is already at 100% then the force will not increase. I have the QS-BT1 harness system.

@seattime4075 very interested in the Qubic belt tension system. I believe it can tension just one belt at a time is that correct?
@seattime4075Ай бұрын
@@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs Yes there are two servos inside, so the belts can operate independently/in unison. It also runs off its own software (specifically design for the QS-BT1), so you can configure it separately to your motion system, which is a good thing.

OH WOW MATE, Thank you so much for the amazing comments, I really appreciate it. It was the most amazing experience, I have been very lucky to have Andrew test out my equipment on a number of occasions. On that particular day though it was truly incredible. To actually have not just a pilot, but an Airforce Aerobatics pilot that trains new pilots how to fly is simply next level. Again thank you for the kind words and welcome to the Limitless VR & Simrigs channel :)

It would be nice to have the developers reach out to this pilot if he is willing to test the force feedbacks for each of the aircraft and then give it to "data" back to them so they can update the system and we can all enjoy something a little more realistic❤ love the show great job and thanks for all of the work that you put into this.

Mate I'd love to have a go with that. Iv a moddest setup for sim racing and flight sims and iv been through so many iterations and spent and unbelievable amount of time tinkering and adjusting. Setting up software. Tweaking parameters...Troubleshooting... I can only imagine how long u have spent to set this up!
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigsАй бұрын
Mate if you lived a bit closer we could make that happen :) Yea its been a long time of tweaks and settings, changing this, and changing that to finally arrive at something reasonably stable. I think or me though that is half the fun. playing the games is the cherry on top however keeping it all running and the tinkering is equally as rewarding :)

I think you should make him play this game through VR in 3D with your setup then it would be the closest thing to the real thing 😉 I used to be like you using a curved Super Ultra Wide screen for my sim then I bought Meta Quest 3 and after tried MSFS 2020 first time with it there was no way back to any other setup . Now enjoying it even more with 2024 version 😊🙏

@noahone3923Ай бұрын
If I can make a suggestion. You may already know this and / or its just your personal preference with the motion data but I noticed that you're not using roll and pitch rate as roll and pitch. I can tell because during an aileron roll the rig snaps back to the other side once it passes 180* of the 360* rotation. Same for loops. This is very jarring and unrealistic in my opinion. I don't know what settings you have available to you in your motion software but I use Motion House Motion Gear 4UN actuators with the MHServicer software and under it's "expert" settings there is a selection to set "Use Roll rate as Roll" and "Use Pitch rate as Pitch" this way it will only roll or pitch in direct relationship to the control input, once control input is stopped it returns to level. Even upside down, as long as there is no input on the controls otherwise, if you close your eyes, you will feel perfectly rightside up. That is assuming you roll upside down and let go of the stick. I also noticed that it would hit a clipping point here and there and once the telemetry was back inside its usable range for the actuators, it returns to regular motion, might want to lower your pitch rate a few percent or maybe heave, or both.
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigsАй бұрын
Mate this is such a relevant comment and well done for picking up on it. Maybe others have also and just not voiced it though. It is actually one of the biggest points my friend pointed out, that aggressive return in the rig during a roll is really immersion breaking. As I am not a pilot I can easily look past it, but its still a thing. Unfortunately our software from SRS does not have that ability as far as I know? I would someone to chime in and correct me if I am wrong though. Sound like your motion rig and software is pretty awesome if it can mitigate that issue. Thanks so much for the awesome comments mate and for watching :)

Gday mate. Just checking out some motion options. Been back to your old video "the machine" and found the eracing system you use. These motors seem very low cost compared to dbox and similar companies. Any issues with them, limitations? Noise, power etc?
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs28 күн бұрын
Heya mate, Oh that's awesome news and glad you knew of that video to go back and watch. Honestly the Eracing Labs actuator system is simply mind blowing. I have had zero issues and the power draw is honestly not a concern from my perspective. My brother in law has also purchased a full Eracing 4 actuator system and has exactly the same experience as me. I will get him to chime in here as well and give you his feedback. The only thing I would also add to the shopping list is two good UPS backups, the last thing you want is a power outage and the whole rig slams to the floor. I am running 1 CyberPower 2200VA/1320W UPS for the motion rig, and a second one just for my PC. That way I have covered both bases. The Eracing Labs system is a 150mm of travel which is amazing for flight, lots of motion on the roll and pitch axis plus a massive amount of travel for heave. We have lots of software options now to also run the motion system. Simhub, SRS Studio, plus I am about to review a fantastic new software solution on the market, DR Sim Manager, can find more on that here: docs.departedreality.com/dr-sim-manager I should have my review out on that in the next few weeks. I will compare it to both SRS Studio and Simhub so all bases are covered. If you are pretty handy with building things, you will have no issues putting the Eracing System together. Alex from Eracing is the main contact and has always been excellent to deal with. You will be blown away with that system mate. I have been running mine fro over two years without a single issues now. I am also about to build and make video on a seat belt tensioner that uses the same actuator motor, 3D print some parts and then the software will do the rest. The Eracing labs system, with the Thanos controller that you will also get with the package is able to control the seatbelt tensioner as well :) The system makes very little noise, you could very easily play this without disturbing people, of course the games you play will increase the noise but is marginal. Is is honestly the most amazing upgrade you will make, it will completely transform your whole sim experience. Plus with the Simhub software being able to provide audio to drive the actuators, the need for buttkickers is not as great, plus is brings a sort of motion feeling to games that don't actually have any native telemetry for motion if that makes sense. If you do end up purchasing one I will be here to help if you get stuck with anything. Both my brother in Law and I have come across little gremlins over time that we have resolved so happy to help with any niggles or question you might have. If you have any other questions just ask mate :) Oh and if this helps get you over the line. My Airforce mate Andrew that I did the video on in the rig, he already has a rig with the Next Level V3 seat mover. Once he moves back to Aus in a little while he is going to be building pretty much the exact same setup that I have, and using Eracing Labs motion system. I think that speaks volumes to how good it is. Blew his mind how amazing my setup was to fly and drive in. Plus with the Thanos controller you can upgrade down the track to also have traction loss and surge. That's pretty much what Andrew will be building, my damn room is to small for that at the moment. Again mate, any questions you have just ask :)

@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs dude thanks for that mega reply. Lots of stuff to learn and ponder while I dicide what I want to achieve and how I can pay for it. Software is a part I haven't even considered yet so that video would he interating. The hardware and the many options and ranging prices is where I'm at currently. It will be a year if not more before I can form out for any of that. Thanks to the pimax super it may be even longer! I checked put the h3 and h6 from dof reality and although they look decent I have a lot of stuff on my rig and direct drive etc. It just looks flimsy. But the 6 degrees is itchin at me man... it may be the case I just get that and use just for flight sims as my racing enthusiasm has significantly dwindled over the last year or so. Thanks again for your input il no doubt be spending much longer going through comparison video etc for the next months. Come across GYGO channel lately aswell thanks to pumax so il be chiming in there too. There's not so much information out there about building your own but I'm definitely capable of hands on stuff and building it sounds actually kinda fun! Thanks again, take it easy
