Far more important to me would be have some of the basics fixed. We still have taxi lights sticking up in all the wrong places, ground crew still walking through propellers and ground vehicles driving right at your aircraft when taxiing .

Kinda amazing that Asobo is still giving MSFS 2020 attention after 2024 announcement. Even continuing to add world updates. Every new feature they add to 2020 is one less dangling carrot they could use to promote 2024. Quite admirable. It’s easy to forget that most dev studios would move on once a sequel is announced.

I assume that interest in MS2024 would drop sharply if customers realize that Asobo is abandoning a product after four years for which ten years of support had actually been promised.

Of course they continue to update the current simulator, as 2024 is based on the game world of this one, only with higher fidelity, more advanced features and new content. But all the work that goes into the digital Earth, the Bing map updates, elevation updates, scenery, airports, it's all going over to 2024 so it's only logical that they keep updating and improving the current release.

Most of the world updates and general updates will probably go onto msfs2024 so it’s logical they keep giving attention to the current sim!

Only 10 years ago we couldn't have even dreamed of a flightsim with not only constant support but also constantly improving and making us 2 decade plus simmers gobsmacked at what has been achieved, atleast for me anyway! I can't wait for SU15 so thst I can fly over europe without losing performance as well as to get rid of that panning stutter!

Thanks for another informative video OA. I think I'd be watching the content even if I wasn't into MSFS, for the beautiful scenery alone. I suspect the World Updates for FS2020 will start slowing down A LOT with work for 2024 finalizing. I imagine most of the devs are focused on Flight Sim 2024 which should be out 3-4th quarter.

The problem I have with updates is something inevitably breaks that is seemingly unrelated to anything that has been updated, and it takes several more updates for it to be fixed, if at all.

All I need is for ATC and AI controlled ATC to stop randomly bugging out and not being able to hear anything. That’s my biggest issue. I mean yea the game still randomly crashes when I’m around a lot of weather but I can kinda live with that. Until I buy a PMDG aircraft and I have to set it up for 30 minutes and all that time is waisted by a sim crash. Also the A32 that’s in game right now keeps having the right engine go out when it empty’s the center tank and goes to wing tanks. That needs to get fixed also.

I just cannot figure out why they don't understand that ice formation has more to do with temperature than depth of snow. I have frozen lakes near my location, and they stay frozen, regardless of the depth of snow on the Prairie.

All I want is Force Feedback support and eventually, cockpit sharing - ideally also possible on the same license within your own LAN. Wouldn't want to create a whole new MS account and pay again only to take someone for a virtual (reality) ride occasionally.

That's exactly what I want, to sit with wifey or friend and fly together on Lan or online. If U want force feedback U could maybe get a hf8 and take out the lowest two motors and attach to joystick but I don't know if it will do joystick any good ;)

@@vangoghoff5521 I mainly want the dynamic spring forces reacting to speed, wind, airflow, trim and so on. As long as the sim doesn't do any output for that, that wouldn't work. But I've been interested in getting a SImShaker JetPad from Andre's Shop for quite a while now, but they've always been unavailabe when I looked or I didn't have the money... and well, since certain events started to happen, I guess it might not be that easy to get one of those into the EU anymore. Didn't know about HF8, if it also takes FFB signals from DirectInput as signals like the JetPad with SimShaker does, it would actually be a decent alternative...

Well I notice Replay Functionality (yeah!) is number 3 and it says "Done PC" But what does that mean. When does "done" mean it will be implemented. This has been my biggest single gripe with MSFS. Anyway I look forward to in happening, eventually!

I would like to see GA aircraft traffic. If it exists currently I don't see it! Would also like to see the Raymarch reflections improved. They are currently not that pretty, and they are buggy and immersion breaking. I guess we wait for MSFS 2024 for multi threading? That could be the next big thing for VR users with anything less than a 4090.

One thing MSFS need to fix are the engine noise while descending with idle thrust. If your airspeed increase during a descent msfs generates the sound of your engines spooling up regardless of power settings. Quite annoying

The new a320 would be no good for me. I have dyscalculiar so don’t do numbers well at all. The A310 only runs on simbrief flight plans which I find impossible to set up so as nice as the A310 is I can’t use it. Looks like it’ll be the same for the new A320. There should be an option on the aircraft of whether you want to use navigraph charts or just the standard FPs you can set up in game. If there is a way to do that without using simbrief and just the standard in game FPs can someone let me know because it’s a shame I can t use the A310.

With that being said I don't understand how the highest voted thing on the wishlist is still "under investigation" I mean come on! I feel like fixing that would be a priority if that is what people want. It more than likely has something too do with the coding of the game and it might not be possible so will probably get looked at for MSFS 2024 is my guess

The issue with these updates is that they bring new things out instead of updating previous issues. MSFS/Asobo should concentrate on fixing things instead of new content in the first instance. We don’t need boats, cars, animals or flying objects from movies. We need realistic airplanes, weather etc as this is a flight simulator!

INIBUILDS A320 will have bugged Camera Positions which must be manually saved again in a very exact method which is a lottery. They will no doubt release it with serious BUGS.

I stopped playing when the near-distance tiling issues started to appear, almost 600 votes on the official forums and still no fix more than one year later. It's Bing related too, seems like they really have a serious problem with the Bing data overall and it's getting worse. I hope they find ways to fix that in the 2024 version.

MSFS2024 is coming out this year. Microsoft have specifically stated multiple times they are not going to abandon MSFS2020 though. Both titles will continue to be developed in parallel.

Don't know why you're confused, they've never said they were abandoning MSFS20. They have actually pledged at least 10years of support for it. That said, MSFS24 is coming out later this year, and this is not unusual for the franchise. In the past they used to release the newer version about every 2-3 years, so this 4 year window is longer than the past but still on track for their releases. They have also said that about 98% of the aircraft and scenery on the FS Marketplace will work in MSFS24 with little or no rework.

Because a game that is trying to model the entire world and function on an almost infinite array of systems is a complex endeavor. Look at any complex system and you will find things are never perfect, but continually trying to get them there is a good sign, not a bad one. Look at any iOS or Android release, why weren't they perfect on initial release? You expect too much.

of course the updated cities will be European or American. 😡 Let's all ignore the fact that the largest aviation market in the world is Asia. Many of the world's largest cities, most modern airports, and busiest routes are Asian. The most highly ranked airlines & airports are Asian. Apparently according to Asobo and many large developers Asia does not exist.

Jezzz!! I wish they would give the A320/321/318 etc. a rest. To me they are all same/same or similar. Do a A340.Yes I know LVFR are doing one, a 200 series I believe. I would like a A340-500 or 600.Do a Boeing 707.Do a Fokker F27/50..A DC-8...Something different!!!
