You can also check your clock and see how fast that is going to get back to normal rate. Also, the strobe light flashes about once per second when on normal

I recommend holding down on the left stick & whichever triggers you prefer to use (because they are not used anywhere) to increase or decrease but if you want to have a smooth experience don't have live weather.

Thanks. I didn’t finish your video the first time so I returned and found out about the 4x sim rate. I know now if i forget how many times I increased I’ll just speed up 4x and the back off 4x. To get to normal speed. :)

I think this option is not included in all the three versions of FS 2020 for xBox. I have the standard one (in Virgin they didn’t have any other available) and when I check into the controller option the CONTROLLER PLUS SIM + is not available.

It will be in your game search for “sim” in the controls section and increase sim rate as well as decrease sim rate will show up.

I don't believe this happens with a flight stick. But with a controller I'm not sure it can be avoided, try to give it a little wiggle every now and then or connect it directly to the Xbox with a play and charge kit cable, this will stop it disconnecting altogether. 😁

I've hear that increasing the sim rate makes it so that the game doesn't count the flight towards your flight hours. Is this true?

This is true, flight hours are based on your play time, not the length of the flight. If you speed up a flight so that it only takes two hours instead of 4 then your flight time will only register 2 hours

I wish like to know how to keep sim rate in 16x (for the flight over atlantic ocean) without airplane jumping up and down. I´m able to keep airplane in stable mod in max rate 8x but sometimes I need higher rate.

Unfortunately you can’t, hopefully Microsoft fix this but for now I would suggest either sticking to 8x or turning off ATC so they don’t keep cutting in when you’re using 16x. I know that’s not ideal but it’s all we can do at the moment

are you hitting it multiple times? if you're only trying one speed up perhaps you aren't noticing the difference? maybe try x4 If that's not it I'm not really sure, I've not had any trouble getting it to activate.

There are a couple of ways people have mentioned in the comments, check the clock / strobe light. Or what I like to do is speed up to the max and then drop it back four times. You should be at normal speed then
