Have used VA for years. Training multiple times is an absolute must. Beware of what you give VA control of... sometimes it can misunderstand what you say. Do not let VA control "gear down" unless you are ok with gear lowering at 300 knots IAS due to a misunderstanding! I use Pilot2ATC with the copilot controlling ATC replies and frequency changes. I bought a CereProc female voice that is set as the P2A and VA reply copilot voice. So commands I use are more conversational with the "copilot". For example: I say "Positive rate" Key-NumPad -. Copilot says "Tapping brakes" pause 3 seconds Key-G Copilot says "Gear up" pause 2.5 seconds Key-LCtl-D Copilot says "Yaw damper on" You can have multiple commands you can say for each command separated by a semicolon. Just understand VA must compare what you said to EVERY command you set up and then execute the best match macro. VA is a must with VR.

I use open source version called GAVPI. One useful command is "Copy" bound to ATC command 1.

I have had Voice Attack for several years and the program works excellent. While its by no means required I HIGHLY recommend getting the HCS Aviator profile pack, it can do so many things and will make your MSFS 2020 experience so much better (easier) a couple of huge ones for me for example are "Set Altitude to 6,500 Feet" and "Set Heading to 090". Not going to go look right now at exact number but I believe it is in the hundreds of preconfigured commands in the Aviator pack. Plus 4 co pilot voices I believe. As for other games, I have used VA in many games, but Elite Dangerous is the standout for me that I probably would not have logged the hundreds of game hours if I did not have VA to control most of the ship functions.

HCS Aviator is a voice profile professionally made for voice attack. You should definitely give it a look. I bought it in its beta and must admit I haven’t used it much, but the concept is solid. Basically it does what voice attack is good at, but with ready set up commands and professional voice talents

Thanks for going over this program! I've actually had it for quite awhile, I do most gaming or simming in VR and it would be perfect for that. Found it a little intimidating and just haven't motivated myself to set it up but I loved the idea of this program way before msfs 2020 came out and I was only flying il2 in VR. Did not have many options on my joystick. I'll have to jump into it and give it a try!

I'm new to MSFS I'm currently playing on a PC with an Xbox Controller. I don't have use of my left arm, so VoiceAttack is a god send at face value!! Tried looking for Joysticks but with so many HOTAS on the market, I'm sticking with my adapted Xbox Controller.

Used it for ages. Seriously good for AP Altitudes in VR and accessing the ATC Panel without opening it. For words it mixes up you can add those to an Ignore List and also edit some Commands to be spelled as they are heard as I do in Elite:D "Super Crews" not "Supercruise" it could never distinguish. Just try "Em see dee you". I highly recommend the VoicePack: AVIATOR (she sexy!)

Are your guides pdf? the reason I ask is its easier to put my pdf on my tablet and read off to my separate gaming computer as in startup sequences etc. If so then I'll shoot over to your Patreon, it would make alot of it easier for the learning curve so I can further the study. Much Obliged!👍☕

If you want to use MCDU as the command. Enter it in with a space between the letters. ex M C D U

Or, I put in "muck doo" and it calls it up. Or you can do something like "em see dee you" and it will work

For MCDU, make the new command M C D U and the spoken command M C D U, or just C D U that should work

Using the mouse for in flight controls is impossible if you suffer from essential tremor as I do,add to that head tracking and it gets even worse.....................................

I've Had Voice Attack Since It's Begining, And Have 40 Voices I Used Voice Attack While In VR To Play Elite Dangerous While Unable To See My Hotas For Over 3 Years. It Takes Twice As Long As It Would For Me To Do The Command. ie I Say My Command - Voice Attack Respsonds And Initiates My Command With Pauses Where I Could Just Press The Button Or Switch Myself / You Can Not Put Any Stress Into The Commands , They Must Always Be calm And Percise And Said [Constant Tone]Slowly. YOU CAN NOT TALK TO ANYONE ELSE While Using Voice Attack As Voice Attack May Pick Out A Command From Your Conversation also On Several Occations When I've Coughed Somehow In Elite Dangerous That Got Me To 'Ship Self Destruct' In My Ship Menu - Funny But Not / Otherwise I Enjoyed The Crew Voices But Each Voice Actor Has Maybe 3000 Phrases which you must learn to Ask For And Answer/ Doing The Speech Training Is A Must, At Least "4"Times. LOL 8^ )

Well, seeing this video this was my thought too. Too much setup, fiddling in settings, yet another 3rd party app running in the background and troubles with voice recognition just to turn on a fucking switch which I could have done in 2 sec with my mouse :)
