Not just a good demo, but a good showcase of how to actually work on increasing productivity by embedding editing software.

Perhaps a voice command to tell the animation to play because you miss a little of it when you're looking at the screen to press play. Great work so far though.

Is the hololens laggy at all? And is it the field of view really notisible and debilitating? Wonderful video by the way.
@brekel8 жыл бұрын
This all runs at 60fps so doesn't feel laggy at all, but of course that depends on the app staying within the CPU/GPU constraints. Field of view isn't super wide but since tracking is so robust and you always see the real world it kinda tricks your brain. You immediately want to walk around virtual objects and it feels they are really there even if you don't see them in the corners of your eyes.

Wow!!! Great job. I just recieved my Hololens from Wave 2 and I am very excited! How did you record this footage? Cannot find that function in my Hololens Looking forward to download awesome apps from Brekel!!
@brekel8 жыл бұрын
You can ask Cortana to record a movie, use the button from the main menu (the one from the bloom gesture), record from the HoloLens app on a desktop machine, or do it when connected to the device's webserver. All the same thing essentially :)
@YairYepez8 жыл бұрын
+Jasper Brekelmans awesome! it works very smoothly, thanks! i have amothet question...Do you know how to connect two Hololens into viewing the same experience? I have tried but aparentle no app supports "multiplayer" as an option.
I'm not surprised with hololens yet, I try to see it as something nice but then I remember its a head set with a screen infront and laggy environment with not so good tracking either for the ar objects, something smoother and more immersive and with better quality and more focused on ways to see the ar dad doesn't include a screen or if it has a screen using better systems like eye tracking would be better, for now, still betting on immersive VR

how hard do u think integrating the leap motion with the hololens would be ....u will need the headset to send sensors information to a pc which would run a software with the leap plunged in and the result will be sent to the headset ....or something like that
@brekel8 жыл бұрын
Indeed you can't connect it directly to the HoloLens but sending it over WiFi from a PC shouldn't be too hard for me to do (as I have some of the components ready already). Mounting the sensor in a good place on the (see through) helmet, or mount it on the body will be a bit tricky though, also it will have a USB wire to a PC.

Well it's a developer kit, not meant as a consumer/gamer product affordable for the masses.
@Bramos_48 жыл бұрын
+Jasper Brekelmans Its actually a developer kit. But in the future its for all. I have read (dont know where) that it will cost ~500$ And then i will buy this cool thing *-*
@brekel8 жыл бұрын
If you wait long enough at some point it will eventually hit any price point. Right now the actual technology in the device is costs much more than $500 though.
