In many industrial use cases, you're not even allowed to impair the employee field of view for safety, like a surgeon operating or a utility technician making repairs in a power pole, so the Apple Vision is a no go from the start. HoloLens is/was really forward looking. Indeed, HoloLens was marketed only for Pro users - unlike the Apple Vision Pro (can you actually release a consumer device for 3.5k and get away with it? :)). However, I think the projection technology has failed HoloLens. While it allows the HoloLens to get away without the advanced see-through cameras, it has two major problems: (1) half the field view of what the Vision Pro has, and (2) not-so-great contrast especially in bright environments. These limitations change the experience significantly. I really wish Microsoft continued their development for HoloLens.
