Yeah in 2022 it makes no sense for a brand new laptop. Maybe if it ran Chrome OS or Windows 10 it could work but definitely not Windows 11.

Simply no excuse and with the backlit keyboard it would have been a much easier sell. Really cannot understand it especially for the higher versions. They have missed a sale from me and I suspect many others. In the UK we can have 16 hours of darkness in Winter and being able to save lighting in these expensive times as well as if others are watching the TV in darkness, it is major stupid by MS.

@@jaeger6846 The mid and top specs are perfectly fine and it has GREAT build quality for the money. Alternatives like HP's pavilion line have awful, cheap build quality and won't last very long either. The Surface Go 3 is the closest thing you're going to get to MacBook quality at this price and that's perfectly fine for most people since any other decently made and reliable Windows laptop is going to cost upwards of $1200.

@@govindkrishnalb the chips are hot. All thin and light laptops are struggling. Dell XPS reaches 100 even being a business oriented laptop. Surface tabs are only good thing Microsoft ever released. They wanna be paid premium for releasing subpar laptops. All surfaces lag behind in both speed and bettery life compared to relevant HP Lenovo laptops. Not hard to look that up mate
