It took me three years, but I finally happened in to one in this exact configuration. In my mind, there’s nothing else like the stitch. Almost like it created its own category.

Thanks for the closer look Doc. You definitely highlighted some features that don't come across in all the photos I've seen online at dealers. Love the Stitch design and the customs are so awesome, unfortunately the price tag correlates to that. Auto puts it off limits in Australia, but hopefully your suspescions of a manual production version are on point. Seems fairly well executed at a reasonable price. It's great to see so many great production version of excellent customs that are out of my budget range. Really enjoying the variety you are bringing us recently, thanks for making the effort to share all the really cool stuff you have been experiencing.

I appreciate your comments! This particular knife is illegal in too many places. I feel sure they will make some form of a manual knife. With regards to the channel, I try to experience as much as possible, and not usually the well-trodden knives so many others have already reviewed. I try to find what is new and interesting to me. Thank you so much for your support!

the pocket clip style dates all the way back to the 2001 1st Gen. Amphibian ...it was also used on the large 2011 Kestrel/Vector Autos...i didn't even notice the all torx construction until you mentioned it.....it doesn't even occur to me that the hardware would be anything than the usual custom stuff...a nice change for once ...

The cut out/thumb hole... could be just to lighten the knife, change the balance point, make deployment easier or simply for aesthetics... or all of the above. Still a pretty sweet blade though

I don’t own a microtech, this knife kinda makes me think hard! How much does this beast weigh? I live in Kentucky and they don’t care what kind of knives you carry and auto’s are legal. I’m really wanting a nice OTF. Either a microtech or Infidel, do you have any experience with either of those knives!

i think they cut out that gap on blade to reduce weight👍😎
@slidetek7 жыл бұрын
Cool, and not a knife I'd connect with you right away (at least until it's open). That blade cutout really screws with the aesthetic IMHO, you can always make a hole bigger, but not smaller. Not sure what they're thinking - my thought is just to differentiate from the customs. Still, I love the forward grip, ultimately a knife to be used (auto-deploy) and not played with. *Thanks for showing!*
@DoctorFrunkey7 жыл бұрын
It's just a cool knife that no one seems to be talking about. I think the auto knife thing will ward off most people, but I had to see it myself.
@slidetek7 жыл бұрын
Seems they pulled a "Kershaw" with the auto deploy. The custom version on Borka Blade's instagram is pretty sweet - and he seemed quite happy with the spring. I'm sure this will be popular. Microtech can take a bite out of the Chinese market with this one.
@Tbone42tx6 жыл бұрын
would love to pick one up..nice wicked blade
@philwertz68875 жыл бұрын
A fuller instead of the hole in the blade would make it look better IMO Other than that I'll take two~ 😁
@luizdiaz51967 жыл бұрын
The hole is there in case you decide to remove the device that swings the blade out making it a manual folding knife as apposed to a possibly illegal automatic knife. That's my guess anyhow
@DoctorFrunkey7 жыл бұрын
Luiz Diaz doesnt look like manual opening is possible even with the spring out.
@luizdiaz51967 жыл бұрын
Doctor Frunkey ah, you are right, it wouldn't open anyway. Perhaps it reduces weight for a faster blade deployment or it's simply an asthetic hole. Anyway, I love your review and I can't wait to own my own soon.

Doctor Frunkey Thanks for the reply. Michigan made autos legal a while back and the Stitch has held my interest for a bit. I never buy coated blades because they always wear so badly but the DLC seems like it'd be tougher.

I have to say after actually handling one of these, reading all the criticisms of this knife are kinda funny. Not a slicer? Utter nonsense, one of the best on the market. Aluminum is poor quality? Nope, not this aluminum. Wood Starritt got it right.
@BigThumpr17 жыл бұрын
I love the bronzed hardware on this one. I have the regular ap finish on mine. My daily beater. The thing that I wish the would have done was offered this with Carbon Fiber scales. Aluminum handle scales just don't do it justice. The other thing that is crazy is the price of the Marfione Borka Stitch. You get the same aluminum scales, the only differences are in the knives is a blade touched by Anthony and Sebastian, and ti hardware. $1900 for a production frame with a Borka Marfione blessed blade is ridiculous. The production model is a hit for the price point, but the custom is a flop. Just my opinion.
@DoctorFrunkey7 жыл бұрын
BigThumpr1 I could not agree more. This knife is pure excellence at this price, and there is just no way to justify a $1500+ price increase for a slight modification tp the blade. I'm soooo tempted to send this to Josh ay REK for the blade treatment.

All else aside, I found that deploying an auto becomes boring. There's no technique - you push a button and it opens itself. One could argue the same holds true for a flipper, but it's still a manual and there's a greater sense of engagement opening a manual. My 2¢.
