I rode flatland back during the '80s because bailing from an ariel or massive jump was extremely painful. I'd rather eat it from a few feet, easier to walk away from.

Awesome, I lived Flatland in the late 90’s. That damn Hang 5 I could never do, I ate pavement hundreds of times trying to do it and he makes it look effortless lol

started in the 80's and took it really seriously at the end of the 80s and the very early 90's. BOY....it took me ONE YEAR constantly training to learn the hang-5

I was out of bmx for the entire 2000's. I'm guessing this was early 00's by Effraim's frame, Quamen clad? These days I know who he is. This old footage of his riding is so clean.🍻

What happens with the upper peg, we saw in early years of freestyle BMX?

Ones higher up on the forks, like the Haro (originally fixed then flip down) and the GT bolt on ones etc? Pretty short lived idea as only useful for certain (static mainly) tricks. Pegs on the axle are just in the right spot/point of rotation especially for rolling tricks. Even having them through the fork at axle level as some manufacturers did (because people were bending axles I think) is just off enough to effect the balance point.
