Join me on an impulsive micro adventure to Water Break Its Neck in the Radnor Forest no doubt Mid Wales's best waterfall. I take my old friend Maggie 80 to the falls. With her is her young friend Chris. She's taken back by the spectacular flow and amazed she's in such a wild environment after the onset of some debilitating joints. It was a happy time amid the deep gorge that plays host to it. Visit sometime - it's a real gem!

Excellent Mark! Two weeks ago we had 28 inches of heavy wet snow in one week and the last few days have been over 80f so flood warnings are out all over the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The power of water is impressive. Take care, Ossie

Great video Mark. That place is magical and ethereal. When the water is not so exuberant, and there is a full moon, the splash pool and rocks, coupled with the moonlit flora, looks like a scene from a gothic fairy tale. It truly is an other worldly place. Will visit it again in 3 weeks. Can’t wait.

That was one impressive waterfall Mark, one of those spots where I could just sit and watch the water all day. Love the super fluorescent green valley, it showed up well on my TV. It looked a really nice narrow deep gorge. How great was that for you to bump into Mat too. I bet it was nice to see him again. Maggie seemed to enjoy her walk up to the falls too. Lovely little adventure to the Water Break-Its-Neck then Mark, a tongue twister indeed, but what a beautiful valley and waterfall. Take care down there and all the best 👍

Also the River Ithon which I think I recall from one of your films. That was a mightily impressive chasm and waterfall. I wonder if the birds were dippers? Hi Chris, yeah you can picture the water breaking. I trust you had a good trip to Pembrokeshire. You chose a nice part of Mid wales to drive back. Blink and you miss Newbridge but I do love it around there. And the Ithon has a fantastic meandering flow - a great river to explore. As for the falls it is a cracking one tucked away. I've never seen Dippers there though and what Maggie saw I couldn't see - I think they were Wagtails. Well, Chris many thanks. Have a great week ahead. Mark
