What V.E. Schwab does really well is standalone novels. I think some of her books would've been better left without a sequel. Vicious straight up is on the best books with a non-linear timeline. I really hope Addie is gonna be a standalone. Otherwise, I'm also excited to pick up The Henna Wars.

I keep seeing kingdom of a back but not sure if I want to read. My favorite book ever is Strange the dreamer and I feel like it’s on the vibe but I’ll be disappointed if it’s not . I definitely read Chain of Gold and it’s my first CC book ever lol. Jumped in the deep end

I'd say Kingdom of Back is pretty different from Strange the Dreamer since it's set in our real world and it pretty focused on the history, music and personal journey of the main character. So it might not be for you which is ok! And lol definitely jumped in the deep end there 😂
