I so appreciate the approach you gave to this review for 6th grade. We see a lot of the Highlight Reels on social media of all of our accomplishments, and it's so real and refreshing to hear someone chat about the not-perfect side to homeschooling. We complete like, 60% of each subject 🙈 other than math. A lot gets randomly picked up and put down, and sometimes not touched at all even with the best of intentions. Simplifying has been my biggest goal for this upcoming year. Thank you for this share.

We had trouble in Language Arts as well. Three curricula for Writing was exhausting. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Overplanning is a problem for me too. I really dialed back for this coming year. 👍🏻

As usual, this video was totally helpful. I’m going to have to look into write journey. Wondering if it gives good instruction because I do like how Iew is like a formula. Our son doesn’t do well with open ended writing.

What experiences did you guys have with “The Write Journey” this year and what will you be doing with them next year. I’ve contacted them per your other curriculum video but still interested in others feedback. We are looking at the foundation writing course for the fall and possibly the writing and reading one in the spring. I like how they use the IEW concepts within their own writing ideas. Thanks again for this suggestion in past videos 😊.

Great timing! A review of my daughter's experience with the Foundations course will be released this week. We are going to be using The Write Joureny for review and feedback on papers during the first semester. During the second semester, I'm planning on using them for one of the literature classes. We haven't decided which one yet.
