The parallel ball path for timing and L spacing is a great explanation. Can’t wait to try this out with my setters with this new mindset.

Waiting for the pass to be even with your body to start your approach is great insight. Thanks again, your videos are always so informative and easy to follow.

Favourite volleyball YT channel by far. Great examples, clear videos (love the extra editing 2:53) and godlike tips (maintaining the "L").

What should the setter do if he or she is setting the 1 ball but they’re a few feet off the net? Do we push the ball on a slight angle towards the net or just set the one from wherever we are?
@fourathletes4Күн бұрын
The higher levels will run a true 1 with the L up to 7 feet. The attackers will have heavier arms to still beat the block and defense. Any pass more off the net will likely turn into the middle 'audibling' to the 3, back 1 or slide. Lower levels may try to get the setter to help the hitter by pushing the ball at the slight angle. DEFINITELY want to stay away from getting too close to the net and setter OR so inconsistent that the setter doesn't really know where the middle is and kind of guesses with each set.
