I've gone over this railroad line on I-84 many times, and when I first saw it I thought that it was abandoned forever, but later I saw parked freight cars on it.

As long as railroads continue to ignore customers needs and give shoddy service abandonments will continue !

Most of the the class ones want to abandon track so they can serve the very same customers with intermodal containers much cheaper for them
