I believe my husband is in Limerence! After 33 years together and 27 married it’s heartbreaking. I’ve played the silent game in all of this just waiting for the Limerence to end.. in the meantime I’m focusing on myself and becoming the best me .

Most times in a man’s life, and the beginning he is romantic and juicy just as you say, then life gets in the way and responsibility destroys that fun, intimate part of him. It happens with women too. All of us. Been considering divorce - 15 out of 22 years sexless, and not even a kiss on the lips for the last 8. She simply went away once we adopted 4 children, while I worked my a*s off 80+ hours a week to provide financially, she simply withdrew and refuses to come back to physical affection or even consider sex. I can't live like this - thought it was avoidant attachment issues, hormones, perimenopause or a combination - but she still thinks since it isn't important to her - the marriage and relationship should be able to survive. she has gained weight and is now 56 - does this qualify as a mid-life crisis?

You are great. I don’t want to be negative but as a man it makes me sad to know there aren’t as many resources for men with this type of positive message. So many therapist/coaches on KZbin for men struggling with divorce always seem to justify or excuse the woman’s choice to leave in one way or another. They basically say let her go and don’t fight for the relationship. And those are the good ones.

@russellheyns1846 You sound very wise. And I agree with you. There is not much help for men because the "mainstream" woman - just leaves. Yet I have studied this - Women Even without a reason or another man (that's opposite to when a man leaves) they just bail. I have unlocked the way to get a woman home, yet haven't done a series or put it out there yet as It's a whole new market. You obviously have thought about this. I'd love to hear your thoughts. It’s been 3 years since BD. 21 years together down the drain. A year after, He married the AP in a secret ceremony (illegally) She was married to another American guy before going full fledge with her affair with my H to get citizenship. Immigration police don’t seem to care. They bought a house together a month ago. It’s possible that they have a secret baby or two by now. How is he ever going to come out of that and look back towards us? The more time that passes. The more he gets intertwined. He’s a very stubborn and egotistical man right now. She plays miss submissive and goes with anything he says. Throw in a sprinkle of emotional/spiritual black mail from the OW and I can’t see him leaving or her leaving him. She’s from another country and looking to establish herself here so she’s not going anywhere. She’s getting everything she wants. From a dirt village to a $300,000 home in the burbs and a man willing to work 3 jobs to pay her bills. Doing all the things for her that he never did for us 🤷🏽‍♀️ bottom line. He seems pretty content 3 years in. Have seen anyone come back from this?
