Our first home was in a poorer neighborhood. The first spring my husband went out and swept the gutter and street in front of our house. Soon all the neighbors were out doing the same.😊 I was planting my garden spaces and offered neighbors plants I was thinning. That's a great idea! Also, putting piles of dead wood into the forested area increases the risk of brush fires, so having a wood chipper to mulch the trees would be better on several fronts. Hopefully some manufacturer or seller sees this and steps up.

This is Metro Detroit. The population has been constant for 50+ years, but the size of the metro has grown (doubled in area? I don't have exact figures). The city in this video is one that has emptied out in favor of outlying areas, losing tax revenue in the process. Pretty typical of Midwestern cities, a fairly constant population migrating outwards, leaving older cities to fend for themselves. Metro Detroit has some older suburbs that have flourished. I happen to live next to one. This one needs help, and I'm glad to see it happening.

In some cities, keeping the sidewalk clear falls on the property owner. It's not clear if the city owns that property, or if it's some 3rd party. It appears that at one time there may have been a home on that lot since there is apparently a driveway apron. If there is a 3rd party owner, it's clear that they've abandoned the property. BUT, in any case, the city should still be responsible at the end of the day, either finding the property owner and compelling them to maintain the property or biting the bullet and at LEAST clear the sidewalk.

Thank you for being YOU!! You are very meticulous and your work is so amazing. Of all the lawn care/clean up people YOU are the best. It amazes me that the city does NOT keep this cleaned up and not allowing it to get so out of hand. They should hire you for constant care. Not sure where this is, but that city owes you BIG TIME. Once again, thank you for what you do. WI Resident here. ❤

Holy overgrowth, Batman! This was a huge undertaking. Major props for doing such an amazing job. You have some great kids, there. So nice to bring Dad some liquid energy. So awesome that the garden folks invited you to their party. Well deserved!

You definitely don't need a gym membership!! You always go above and beyond with these makeovers that looks like another area that's been neglected for a long time the city should be ashamed, people pay their taxes but it takes someone with a massive heart to put things right. Amazing job💕

It's so gross how people feel the need to dump their trash wherever they feel like rather than dispose of it appropriately. Good to see someone step up and do the right thing seeing as others can't 👍

I don't understand why the people don't complain to the City or County and why they let it get in such bad shape anyway.(city & county). That was a very big job. God Bless

Someone give this man a new mower. PLEASE! You cannot put a price on the kindness he is showing to others. It's wonderful!

No. All it took was one man. I didn't see anyone from the village do a darn thing!!!!!!!! (You sound like Hillary. I have always hated hearing that.)

All of the hard transformation work you do is incredible and please don't forget that. And don't ever regret saying it either. It's your channel and you have the right to say whatever you want. Don't let the 🦃🦃 🦃 🦃 🦃 🦃🦃 bring or get you down. Some folks just like to hear themselves gobble to get attention. They must not have gotten much attention growing up.

It really sucks that the city dpw does not care about the community and that seniors as well as other can't use sidewalks. Human kindness goes a long way.

A tool called a mattock would dig those small stump clusters right out! It is pointed on one end and rectangular on the other with a handle like an axe.❤❤❤I see George from Tasmania Australia use it on his channel ‘Quick Cuts 2’.

you see people all the time stop and tell him they will be there to help tommorow yet i never see anyone show up to help the man who is taken his time to make the community look alot better , the least people could do is to do as they offer to help him with the clean up of there neighborhood , just saying this man is out there trying his best on his days off to help make the city look alot better , but if you stop to say hello then offer to help then make sure you go back and help the man . after all he could just stop doing this and your neighborhood will go back to looking like it did before . God Bless this mand and his Family .

Ok where do I start? You are amazing. Your daughter is pretty amazing too ❤️ anyone who lives in Sean’s neck of the state..please nominate him for citizen of the year. What he’s doing for your community and neighborhoods is to be recognized and acknowledged. Spending time making a difference and not to mention time away from his family (I assume it’s on the weekends) should be greatly appreciated. I loved this one hour long video. That is some backbreaking work. Clearing away dirt, grass and garbage for kids and anyone who wants to use the sidewalks is really making it better and safe. Let’s buy him a $coffee or 2..or 5 and help Sean get a better and more efficient lawnmower. As Sean says “let’s do this”! God bless you Sean & Keep you safe and healthy. Admirer from SC 🇺🇸👍🏼
