Not entirely sure what you know, so I'll just make a list of tips: - Tokyo Challenge has its own progression and cups for different vehicle classes and types. So you can jump in and out of it when ever you want to, though you can tell it was designed with experienced players in mind. I recommend doing the exotic cup once you own an exotic, because the prize car is excellent. - If you look back while in air it puts the game into slow motion. - Holding the steering stick up and down moves the camera up and down. Useful for viewing what's coming up ahead. - While holding the button to look back the d-pad can be used for turning the camera around. This exists in MCLA as well. - If you use a nitrous right before using a slipstream turbo, the two will stack up and explode you up to speed. This trick can be done in 2 and 3, not LA. - Select can be used during races as well to check the map while in a paused state. - Sports Bikes are the easy mode. Even more so in MCLA. Honestly I don't recommend using them for progression, they're a bit too good. - Choppers are garbage. Just sell any you get your hands on, unless you want to 100% the game. - Some checkpoints are way wider than others, allowing for better racing lines. This varies a lot and it's basically impossible to tell visually. - Using weight transfer (L1) in air can help stabilise landings. Or you can use it to do a flip. - Not sure how much you used burnout, but it does make you get off the line faster. Also useful if you crash and slown down completely. - While in reverse tapping handbrake while turning results with a J-turn. Useful if you get spun around. - It's usually a good idea to save at least 1 nitrous for the end of race just in case the AI catches up. They're also good for getting back up to speed after a crash. But if you have plenty to use, like in a Lap race that refreshes the nos, might as well use them.

Choppers were never garbage you just don't know how to handle them. 😂😂😂
@Arexion529311 ай бұрын
@@joshuajefferson3504 They bounce everywhere, unlike sports bikes even hitting their side makes you fall over, the turn angle is pretty bad and they turn slowly. Only argument I can sort of see is using the Tune menu to make the drifts better, or am I missing something? They seem very inefficient for grip driving considering the poor turning. Do speedrunners get more out of them or what?
@wrldpires11 ай бұрын
@@Arexion5293i usually use the l1 combined with r1 to corner them (r1 only in thigh curves) and even tho they are not as agile as sport bikes they are still really good, never had and issue with them bouncing in my last play through I've made probably more than half the game with the cuevito

One of the best racing games I've play for the PS2 era. Tip: If y'all wanna disable car damage so you can keep your car clean and have it play out like a PS2-era Need for Speed, go to the main menu > options > enter cheat code > "ontheroad" (note you have to enter the cheat code each time you go back to the game's main menu). This doesn't affect the gameplay at all but you don't need to worry about totalling your car when racing/free-roaming because car physics in this game is a bit cray-cray lol

Go in the properties section of this game on your emulator (if using nightly version of the emulator) and then go down to patches. You will see a 60 fps patch there. Check the box to enable it. Then go to your emulation settings in the properties still and make your EE Cycle rate from 100 (default) to 300 overclock. That will make the game run at 60 fps if your PC is strong enough to handle it lol

A small help * Press L1 to access weights transfer. On the ground this can be used to pop the car on two wheels. Not very helpful however o believe this prevents drivers from slip streaming you. - On the air you can move the car around allowing you to safely land correctly on the ground and not bounce around uncontrollably * you should always do a burnout. At the start of the race if you crash or miss a turn. The amount of acceleration again from this is to high to miss out on and you can even turn the car around allowing for an even faster recovery - you can even do a reverse burnout allowing you to reverse quicker u can than hit the handbrake to do a 180 but turning around doing a burnout is better still.
@Draco_613vx11 ай бұрын
To make it easier after crashing into cars and buildings just hold the handbrake and accelerator (R2 for the handbrake and X as the accelerator on the PlayStation controller) at the same time and do a burnout by moving the analog stick. It saves you a lot more time then reversing. Personally after a burnout and if its clear I use a nitrous and I'm back to top speed again.

midnight club 3 in ps2 in my opinion is only a few contestants/ competitors races ,tournaments & club events are just hard because so many common obstacles are so usual just like NFS .& cop cars on the other hand r a big distraction because they ram me off the road & corner me but luckily the cops won't catch the player so that the player won't have to pay a fine 4 illegal street racing. but in NFS cops do catch the player & pay fine. when it comes to racing, driving the best car with insanely high performance & clean driving while in the lead can get the job done.

You should probably watch Cortisol Gaming to see how he drives, then come back and try it for yourself. Also, some free upgrades you can do in this game are Wider Tires, bigger wheels, and lower suspension. Wide tires? More grip. Lower ride hight? More stability. Bigger wheels? Here’s where the silly sh*t comes in. The game still thinks your car is lowered and therefore is unaffected by having huge wheels. It also doesn’t track the weight of the wheel. So big wheel = more acceleration + avoid bottoming out.

Btw, YES. increasing the FPS breaks the game, but in the fun way. Vehicle animations & dialogue are tied to the frame rate. Ex: at 30fps, a supercar will top out at 250mph. at 60fps, it’ll top out at 500mph. But you won’t realize it at first because the speedo is analog.
