Midnight Purple Kei Truck Full Build Time-lapse (1992 Honda Acty Mini Truck)

After owning my 1992 Honda Acty SDX for almost a year I decided to give it a full rebuild much like I do with my motorcycles. We took this truck all the way down to the bare bones and restored each and every piece. After finding a purple Japanese lighter in the truck I felt it was only right to respray the truck in the most legendary 90's JDM color Midnight Purple 3!

Yuo can liftup the spring and use 13" inch mags and 165 tire or log tire.

Love it! Im building my minicab in a similar way right now. Interior is fully stripped, and im sanding everything down for paint and collecting parts and making the undercarriage perfect. reupholstery is getting done in the fall, so excited.

I’ve been wanting to build a kei truck since I first saw one on a mighty car mods episode way back in the day! I think the most enjoyable part was putting all the finished interior pieces back in the truck. It’s practically brand new in there!

The cup holder is mounted with double sided tape on the bottom. It is very sturdy even with large drinks in it.

how long did it take you to adjust to the left hand shifter?

Since the shift pattern is still the same (first being to the left and up) it didn’t feel like that weird of an adjustment to shift with my left hand. The biggest thing I always get mixed up is turn signals and windshield wipers because they are swapped on the column.
