If Hell exists outside of Time and Space, that would explain how the Doom Slayer is, in fact, DoomGuy If he's fighting Hell outside of time, he would never age, thus making it possible for him to fight for "Eons" And since the Doom 64 ending was the main character choosing to stay in Hell to fight... "He chose the path of perpetual torment" seems pretty fitting to me.

Argent Tower wasn't even present at the time in Doom 64 I think, Hayden only got his robotic body after the construction of the tower. Also the word recruit isn't suitable, as the guards found him outside their portal to Hell, assuming Doom guy stepped on the portal to Sentinel Prime while being badly injured. Bloke only get recruited after smashing everyone in the arena.

This is my prediction for Doom Eternal's plot. Since doom 64, when you locked yourself in hell for all eternity, you have been acting as the Doomslayer, God's insurance policy. You see, heaven has a physical manifestation that allows it to act in the physical realm. The Father, the first Makyr, split himself into a hivemind allowing the angels (aka "makyrs") to exist, and the Nameless One did the same for the demons. So every 10,000 years, a Khan Makyr, or archangel, is born and acts as the monarch of Urdak, the homeworld of the Makyrs. When a makyr dies, they join The Father in heaven and reunite with the hivemind. So the hivemind creates a Khan Makyr, it dies, and a new one is born. The problem is that angels can't go against a Kahn, and demons can't go against one of the 6 hell kings, making you, the Doomslayer, God's only pawn in case things go south. So get this- in the time you spent imprisoned by Hell since being released in doom 2016, the Khan Makyr has either killed or sealed The Father off, and has been using Hell to tempt mortals to use Argent (hell) energy, and then she makes an appearance to give the morals the technology to purify it. When they do, she sics the demons on 'em, they die, and she takes the purified Argent energy to prolong her lifespan. As the Doomslayer, on a new alternate earth, it is your mission not just to save humanity and kill the demons, but to RESCUE GOD. My guess is that this is what the golden locator orb is for. If that's not the single most badass plot ever to be written I don't know what is.

Secondly, the name Lucifer is actually a title as well which roughly translates from ancient Latin as "light-bearer." I like the idea of The Nameless One being Hell itself. It mirrors the Maykr's story of the Father and arbout Urdak in ways even if it differs in others. However, I feel like the form the Nameless One would take would be much more... nebulous and vast than what the Maykrs story imply of their old lord. Something like an organic black hole filled with black magic, if you'll forgive the absurd image there. But I'm serious. They frequently refer to Hell "Consuming" worlds, what we've seen of their native technology (Not counting times they've been modified by others using UAC tech) in the form of things like gore nests is fleshy and organic, and we know that the parts of 'hell' we explored in Doom 2016 were actually the remains of Argent D'Nur after 'Hell' had consumed it and the place was full of fresh dripping blood, blood pools, and such coming from... where exactly? We also see a vast void in part of it full of even more titan remains trapped in a nebulous void full of fog and red lightning. The times we've visited 'Hell' we've been inside The Nameless One. Visited a world that has been consumed, and is still being digested. We see the bones and decay and rot, mixing among ruins in shattered voids covered in red lightning and fog. As for who the Priests serve, I think they serve Hell primarily but considering what we know of the Khan Maykr and the fact that she's merely interested in herself... I think it's not impossible that despite having some reasons to still oppose Hell, I think she may have worked with Hell before. She could be akin to Olivia Pierce's role in Doom 2016 or the Betrayer in the past before that. Perhaps when we learn deeper lore, we'll learn about any dealings they may have had in the past and also learn what happened to the other Maykrs and who they were and if any of them still exist at all. Considering the Khan Maykr is serving as Eterna's main villain so far besides Hell, we could assume the Hell Priests are serving both. It's clear there's a lot more going on behind the scenes now lol, as good ol Novik clearly implied. I don't really believe in this s'much as a theory, but maybe if the part of 'hell' we say in 2016 was the decaying ruins of the Sentinels homeworld inside The Nameless Ones belly, maybe Urdak is the remains of heaven and 'The Father'?

7:24 Here’s my theory; The Hell Priests do the blood ritual because the Khan want it to. So they send the priest to do the dirty work and because they cannot be killed (unless you bring the rune the Slayer has) and are loyal to the Maykr, they knew that the priest wouldn’t have wanted to get more powerful and overthrow the Maykrs. Now one question could be asked: “Why would the Maykrs want the Priest to do the blood ritual?” To survive. Remember the trailer: “For millennia we have survived, made other sacrifices in the name of our prosperity [...]” In short: I believe that the priest are doing all of this so that Maykrs can survive and are working for both hell and the Maykrs

I'd say that Urdak (idk if spelled correctly) is probably supposed to represent heaven, if not it's definitely supposed to represent some sort of corrupt religion. The Khan Makr goes to planets and corrupts their people not with violence but with gifts and knowledge, having the people unknowingly fall under their power. That's sounds pretty evil to me.

"Bound by the forces of chaos..." That description basically makes hell the 'mirror universe' from Star Trek. So why haven't all the demons got beards? These 'codex entries' have a habit of throwing up more questions than they answer - 'primordial black heart'? What's that, then? Anything to do with Joan Jett? Who is 'the nameless one'? Well, sort of a self-answering question, as if that one is nameless there is no other way of describing it. Why does hell have 'circles'? Circles are precise mathematical figures that are of immense use in much of our technology and way of life - wouldn't hell want to distort and twist such things as it does with everything else? I suppose 'the inner wobbly-shapes of hell' doesn't quite have the same ring to it. What exactly do the 'cursed souls' labor without end to achieve? I've been through Doom games quite a few times, yet I've never even seen one of these things sweeping up, let alone numbers of them actually putting in a day's graft. 'An era of corruption followed, destroying the church from within' sounds like kiddie-fiddling priests and book-cooking cardinals deconstructing the Vatican. The 'hell priests' are probably primarily concerned with the same thing high-ranking clergy in this world are never far from thinking about - themselves and their own positions. It all begins to sound very familiar and brings to mind some 'evil' multinational corporation, the jockeying for position of its management, the take-overs and asset-stripping of corporations theirs has consumed, and the undying hatred of anything outside their sphere of influence that doesn't add to its coffers. .

By the sounds of it, you maybe right about the nameless one being hell itself. I do think that hell is sentient and has a literal dark heart, Hell itself as an entity spawns demon by its will. Through the texts Im thinking Doomguy will need to make his way to the Darkheart and destroy it to end hells existence and attempt to wipe out the plane of existence named hell, possible reverting the entity to more of a small pocket dimension as i dont think hell can be permanently destroyed

I think the Hell Priests would work for Hell. They could easily side with the Khan Makr to feed Hell. And if needed, once Khan Makr would have no more use in find worlds to feed to Hell, they could either figure out a way to betray her and enslave her or just actually set a trap for her to be fed to Hell. Probably would need Hell's help to get that to work as she's quite OP though, lol But hey, Hell's mentality should be one to trust anyway, so partnerships would likely only last while it would work to feed the greedy nature of Hell

How can the doom slayer possibly defeat the nameless one, if he/she is hell itself. If it’s some sort of pure energy or deity corrupting everything. Guns won’t kill it. As there is no target. Unless the doom slayer gets higher power from somewhere I can’t see him simply just gunning down something that u can’t target. But if the nameless one has a place where his/her energy resides like in a specific place then yeah I could see the slayer shooting it to death 😂.

Actually to say - i am waiting for origins of Doom Slayer in Doom Eternal. But i still can not understand how does Doom Guy connected with Doom Slayer.
