Mido is a very underrated, under the radar Swatch Group brand. Punches way above their weight IMO. Their stylings, value, cost. I just think they're a hidden gem who deserves more attention.

Swatch Group is vertically integrated, it's the exact same 80h movement as in Hamilton, Tissot and Certina.

Good Lord! Yours looks really... New. I forgot how beautiful this watch can be! I got mine two years ago and it was my tool watch during one year. I'm film maker for industry and civil engineering. Lol... We were brought together to the hospital emergencies after I fell in a deep tunnel. Mido: 1, me: 0, camera... Double 0!!!! Just a liitle bit... Scratched! Bezel and bracelet. But still working precisely! The doctor, wearing a Rolex Explorer, as he was suturing my cheek, complimented me for this beautiful watch! Hahaha!!! Then, I bought a $/€89 G-shock Square!

Mido are using Superluminova BGW9 high grade on their watches. Great looking watch and I love that clasp, it's just brilliant.

Cedar Canoe not to mentioned better looking better movement better bracelet ratcheting clasp sapphire crystal ...in my opinion it destroys any seiko diver in the 500$ range

Kicking myself for not buying the two tone rose gold variant used on bracelet for £450, absolutely love the design and movement in these. There are a few new colourways of these too such as pastel green and all rose gold case, bronze and the larger variant with 600m water resistance.

Why would you call Mido a Microbrand? They are not. Been making watches since 1918 alongside Certina, Longines, Baume and the likes.

Used to own it in black. Pretty cool watch but the top AR coating scratched super easy. Just looking at it would cause another mark.

Much better movement with 80 hrs power reserve that isn’t disposable and its serviceable...much better bracelet....sapphire crystal...ratcheting clasp..great finishing....no misalignments...great dial work...wonderful dimensions that are sleek but still modern size...swiss heritage(because that means something weather we like it or not)....screw pins no pin and collars..all for around 600$......can someone please tell me why seiko prospexx and presage watches cost 500 plus dollars again?

The only thing that I dont like on this watch is the fact that crown is too much "covered" and " hidden" from the metal around it. Its overwhelmed.

I have exactly the same watch. But I had accidentally scratches a little on the bezel. Can you suggest where I can get the Mido bezel? If I could I would change my bezel and make my watch totally new. Thanks a lot for your kind information.

Short screw but that the only letdown but you still can manage it.Overall it is great watch and the quality is up thre with omega.

For the price, It doesn't have that micro brand feeling. It's hard to pinpoint why. Maybe because it's not a submariner case and bezel.

It's not a microbrand. It's a part of Swatch and was founded over a 100 years ago.
