How to make a quick and easy, spaghetti carbonara
It takes less than 30m and you need nothing special to cook it and no specialist ingredients.
Ingredients
1 egg
30g Parmesan
Garlic paste - you could use a clove of fresh garlic or garlic powder
70g Cream
130g Bacon thinly Sliced - Traditionally you you should use pancetta but bacon is a good alternative
200g pasta - you could use spaghetti, tagliatelle or my favorite is linguine
Extra parmesan for on top
A little cracked black pepper
Recipe
Crisp up the bacon in a pan on a medium heat with a little oil - set aside
Combine the eggs parmesan cream and garlic
Cook your pasta in plenty of boiling water
Add your pasta to the bacon and put on a medium heat
Mix and leave on the heat till you hear a very gentle sizzle
Add the egg mix a stir immediately and thoroughly until the sauce thickens and sticks to the pasta
Serve with some freshly grated parmesan and a little cracked black pepper
Tips
Try adding some half of cherry tomatoes or a little rocket for some extra veggies and flavor
