I have to say, having stumbled upon this video at this late date, that I’m impressed with both the lead and backup vocals. The huskiness of the lead contrasts well with the backup and makes me wonder what this might sound like from a studio. I heard the U2 cover of this song that they did with Fergie and why I think Fergie is an amazing vocalist, Darla clearly crushed it. A powerful vocalist like Darla comes along once in a generation.
