This is the "Mack" show. It comes with hoarder cleaning, helping the overwhelmed, helping those less fortunate (both cleaning and repair), a constant stream of advice, an understanding of those who are neurodivergent (raising my hand), as well as, a look into the life of a neurodivergent man with a tricky back and a penchant for seasonal colds. I am grateful to be able to watch all of your videos. I am genuinely happy that you are moving toward physical and emotional healing. I personally love and look forward to following your "Starting Over" journey. And I know one day we will see you wearing that gold plaque.

Please try to remember that the house serves the people...the people don't serve the house. I grew up in a spotless, perfect magazine house, and it was soulless and unhappy. Your kids will remember whether or not they were happy... not if the windows and floors sparkled. And if your friends and relatives keep track and comment, then they aren't good folks.

I know what you mean. My dad bought our house in 1974, a three family, and worked on the entire house for years. Due to finances, he finished the other apartments first, so our apartment was a worksite for months. At the time, I was a teenager, so I hated our apartment, and was embarrassed to have friends over. Now I appreciate all the work my dad did, mostly on his own. He did everything except electrical. My dad died in 2020, and when I see you hooking up your washer/dryer, it makes me think of him. Obviously it's not my business what other people do with their money and if you want to support him, that's 100% your decision. But I have to be honest that a lot of the math isn't mathing here - like making KZbin his full-time job without sponsors, investing a lot of money into this hoarder home after making KZbin his full-time job and having to rely solely on the unstable income of KZbin at a time when his wife is experiencing major medical issues and they're probably accumulating debt because of it. And then he separates from his wife immediately after she has a major surgery after saying she was too sick for him to travel not even a week after they do a live together - and then he moves into a house that isn't remotely ready to be lived in while claiming they parted on good terms and were still close. He's allowed to keep what happened private but something about him accepting more donations when the last round outpouring of support was given to help support his family as a result of the medical issues his wife was facing just doesn't sit right with me. My comment isn't to demonize Mack - he wasn't actively asking for these donations just engagement with his content. I still enjoy his channel, want to see him succeed, and respect the work he does for others. But I'm personally feeling a little weird about all this and I haven't seen anyone else voice it.

Mack, fixing up one's house is a great thing to show to your audience too. many of us are in need of doing a little fixing in our homes. many of us can't physically do the work ourselves, but your education on the matter can help us know what should be done and look for the proper help in getting it done. Please take care of your back. Jason is such a great worker...a true blessing to you! Cleaning is fun to watch, but watching you do all of this is great and informative and love to hear your wise words. As someone who's been starting over for 25 years now, it is good to see you doing it well. Gives me inspiration. Thank you.

I don't know why that cleaning/organizing of your kitchen at the end was so satisfying, but I thank you for sharing that part, as well as your journey of starting over. I can't wait to see what you transform your home into. Here's to speedy healing so you can get back in that moose saddle!

I ADORE Remi Clog! I watch Remi to feel less bad about myself and ground myself and you (I'm relatively new here) for the tips & humor. Have loved the other shout outs you've done in the past, so I'll for sure be headed right over there after this! Thank you!

I have never seen a dryer vent in the floor. That's crazy! Jason! you are the greatest helping the ole dad. Thank you. Mac would a back brace help when your working?
@guhrizzlybaire3 ай бұрын
I have known that some homes do that, which is why it's so dangerous for the lint to build up. When I first moved into my rental I was a little panicked until I found that our dryer vent went straight out the side of the house and only went like 6in thru the house instead of under the floor and all the way out the other side. 😂

Home improvement definitely falls under the category or CLEANING! especially since youre getting to the root of a lot of mold problems, etc. No One should feel like crap in their own home and if theyre able to help themselves (even just that extra push to stick it out while someone else does it), you're showing them how much healthier their life can be. Youre also being incredibly responsible in letting them know how much work is actually involved that may not be filmed AND how to prepare for a job bigger than what might be expected. You're doing great. remodels are like "heavy metal" cleaning, lol.

Jason, To prevent future injuries to YOUR back spend time lightly stretching your hamstrings and bend at the knees, strengthen your legs, making your legs do the lowering work. Bending over at the waist is painful later. Bending your knees to lower yourself to the floor is good for your back. God, I know, now!

I want to thank you so much. Because of your videos, your advice, your ability to help people and talk others through the right way to help ppl, I was able to help my husband so much this week. This past Friday the temperature and weather was perfect. We moved our cars from the driveway and spent 7 hours pulling every single item from our garage. Our kids helped, too. I told him that not a single thing needed to be given away but I wanted to help him put things into categories and put them into rows along the walls to give him more floor space to work. Not only did we end up organizing everything, throwing away a lot of items we didn't need, but also giving away and even selling a few things I never thought he would ever part with. He had hard moments where he would get distracted and would lash out a bit because he was overwhelmed and often wanted to wander away and not deal with things. I let him do what he needed to do. 7 hours later I took an after picture and even tho we still own way too many things, I'm super thrilled with the progess (his especially) and the next day he thanked me and said he doesn't feel overwhelmed in there any more and feels like he can start to actually do projects he had planned ❤ I told him it's all thanks to you. So thank you for helping me understand how to help him 💓 I also got my MIL to sub to your channel ❤

Your bathroom makes me feel better about how mine looks (still) from a remodel that has taken almost a year now. I’ve had so many problems with contractors because each one has caused more issues than they were supposed to be fixing. I hope you have more luck than I have had! Thanks for posting these things and helping me feel not so alone 💜
