Dude for real. I was outside the door. Dumbfounded like wtf…I wasn’t even upset yet. Then I hear her upstairs screaming into the phone (kiddos window was open and they were terrified) to the police that I threatened to kill her and I was beating the door down and trying to throw rocks through the window. 5 cruisers show up. See all intact windows. Door, unmolested. Me crying at the front door after seeing the cops, because I had never been so betrayed. They treated me like an animal. For a week. I had no money. No phone numbers. No underwear. Advised to just plead guilty to the judge on the little screen as I wore the psycho-Gumby suit. With sudden interruption of my psych meds. No one gave AF. Didn’t matter that nothing she said made sense. I was a veteran getting psychological help so I probably did it, ya know?

If he has custody he's responsible for them. If she has them against his will he's supposed to report them as kidnapped. The school only knows that they aren't coming and that he is the parent. Generally they would have investigated and told him he needs to take steps. Both parents if they both have custody. If the kids just keep my showing up, yes they may press charges. You can't just say "well I don't have them, grandma took them" or everyone who didn't want to send their kids to school would just use that. They can't charge grandma if she doesn't have custody over them. But if he goes to court and presents evidence of what's going on they will probably dismiss the case. If he does something to resolve it. Which is usually going to court and getting a writ to get your kids back since you have to legal custody.

She got sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days served and 2 years of probation for both arrests and additional conditions were going to rehab, following domestic relations court orders, counseling, and no drugs/alcohol. Hopefully, she got clean and sober as she doesn't seem to have any additional arrests after that.

Im a physician: actually you can't just 'take guardianship' of someone. If a psychiatrist deems them at capacity then they are responsible for their own choices. Unless they are suicidal, they can't have their autonomy removed.
@mommy2libras2 ай бұрын
Even then, aren't they generally turned over to the custody of psychiatric professionals, at least at first, to undergo assessment? Because suicidal ideation usually isn't a permanent condition and won't lead to someone being declared incompetent by the court and being put under the custody of another adult. And if the mom is so convinced that we're operating in 1945 and you can just have people committed (to the facilities that people always mention that don't actually exist in the way they think they do), why doesn't SHE try to do it herself? But she wasn't even talking about psych treatment, she was saying the husband could basically have her "committed" to drug treatment under a judge's order, which as far as I know, doesn't exist at all. You can be charged with a crime and opt for rehab in lieu of jail time if that is offered but that's still not being "forced" into treatment like she's saying. It's totally optional. AND at your own expense. Also, if he has insurance on her and is just waiting on her to die, but has gotten her addicted to drugs and is currently secretly injecting her with drugs every night, why is he putting up with this madness and risking losing his kids is it's already well established that she has a drug problem? Why not just OD her one night and get it over with, like last year?

@Par-Crom the only thing I can think of would be a black Boxer dog, which even then makes no sense. Ehy would a single dog be enough to keep someone insane? I personally dislike when dogs bark all the time, but that's not enough to "keep me crazy" like she's acting. Also, how do you hide a whole ass dog in the woods, behind a neighborhood, on a chain? People would find that our and post it immediately, and the guy would get crucified online for it
