Miele Turbo Nozzle Comparison - STB 205 VS. STB 305

So the Miele TurboTeq cleaner head is powered by suction via an air turbine. Considering the suction power and airflow the Miele C1/C2/C3 canister vacuums generate it can do wonders on hard floors and low pile rugs/carpet.

Aha! I've been wondering what the slide selecter actually does on my 205 head! It is actually good for my deep pile rug as the powerful suction tends to pull the rug up off the floor when I'm trying to just suck out little bits stuck in the rugs loops. Shifting the emphasis from suction to brushing helps pull these bits of 'litter' out of the rug without sucking the rug itself.

the slider is just to bleed suction. Opening it fully would give you least suction for delicate rugs.

Very nice, would love that stb 305 head on my starmix. Would you by any chance know if they are based on 35mm pipe diameter system? Thank you

Miele tools are on the 35mm pipe system so it will work with your starmix. I use miele tools on a modified numatic with 35mm tools. The miele heads have a button lock on them which is just bypassed when you shove a normal 35mm pipe into it, the miele tubes have a groove cut out on them to lock them into place which you could also replicate on your pipe if you wanted to with a dremel.
