Miele TwinDos washer

A service technician visited, troubleshot, and called Miele for advice. Miele suggested to replace one part. The repair bill was $499.03. This is what happened the morning, when I turned on the washer.

my twindos cartridges are blue/phase1 in the LH and white bleach/phase 2 in the RH compartment. I am getting the same message on a brand new machine. was able to clean the RH compartment but no luck with LH - thinking blockage. told that warranty should cover for repair.

I have similar message, but I think I discovered the issue: if you remove the twindos container there are two switches. These are activated when the containers are in. It happened to me that for sone reasons even if the container was in the switches were not activated so I put some spacers like a small piece of cardboard and then it worked . Now I still have the issue because the switches are damaged or at least the piece of plastic connected to them.

I had the same problem, but FIXED it when getting the containers out and in again BUT WHILE THE MACHINE IS ON (i just mean power/starting the system like you showed on the video) - only then it worked. Have you tried "replacing" or rather getting the containers out and in while the machine is on?

Feb 2023--getting same problem after purchasing this unit in 2019. Ran fine no problem up until last month. Noticed lots of suds in the machine just before it happened. I purchased the TwinDos Care, it ran through the LH side (where I had UltraPhase1 dark blue) no problem. Then I tried to run the TwinDos Care in compartment 2 (where the clear UltraPhase2 usually goes) and it won't run, causing an error immediately. I had the tech out to my house and he told me to try running the TwinDos Care first before he tried to repair it because the repair would be 2 1/2 hours plus part(s)?!? I'm wondering it the UltraPhase2 is clogged in the line. I run laundry practically every day of the week. NO, the machine did not sit for months without being used. Miele should own up to this. I knew it was too good to be true! Disappointed in Miele, but why did it work fine up until last month? Did Miele change the formula or switch ingredients?

I watched the tech disassemble the washer. As I show in one of my videos, the washer senses liquid in the line. A clog is unlikely, and would likely be sensed as liquid in the line - so all ok. Can you update your machine's firmware to June 2022? If that's ok, check the compartment inlet's seal. If the seal leaks, and the pump sucks air, it will not fill the line - and the heater/sensor will not sense liquid in the line.

I hope you get a refund. Do you think the problem is that the detergent has blocked the pipes like other twindos units?

I have the same problem since Jul 2022. Was told there might be firmware update to fix the issue.

There was a firmware update in Dec 2022.

I am hesitating to buy a TwinDos Miele but after reading so many issues with you I might go for one without TwinDos. What do you think I should do? Are you happy with the brand Miele in general other than the TwinDos issue? Please help. I need to buy something this week. Thanks in advance.

I'm happy with the whole machine. That said, Samsung has a nice washer + heat pump dryer. The TwinDos system is kind of a pain. Often, we just add detergent in our machine. Pfft, right?

@@nickydoes I just got rid of my Samsung washing machine as it would stop at 9 minutes (spin cycle) and a technician had already replaced the motherboard which did not help. How about if I get the Miele WEG365 WCS which does not have the TwinDos system? Or I can go for Siemens. I had heard Miele is the best so I want something I wont have to worry about for the next 20 years !! :''(( Any feedback is sincerely appreciated.

Mine was fixed via a firmware update. If your machine is connected to your Miele app, you should see a firmware update available there.
