It does seem a little like gliding with no power. Incredibly difficult to make a rubber ducted fan with endurance and light weight, but your structure looks excellent.

Agree on all counts, ducted fan are less efficient than props so a "powered glide" is normal considering the weight restriction at that size (16 grams AUW). Other are trying that too: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?919440-rubber-powered-ducted-fan-what-the-story-with-this

Nice, but it was more falling with style than actually flying. Yes, it does "fly", but it was more a slow descending flight rather than gaining altitude, or even maintaining level flight. Came here from a guy flying a ducted fan Mirage, and his actually climbed and made several circles of the stadium. Not trying to belittle his efforts, maybe if he gets the weight down, or improves his fan, or both, he will get it to climb, I am just saying his was more of a glide than flying. I've built quite a few planes in my time, so I appreciate the efforts.

Nice and careful flying! I don't know if a thrust adjustment is possible, but I would try a little upthrust. Or maybe a little weight on the tail. It seems to have a little trouble maintaining a level attitude. I saw your link in flying aces.

Yes, it fly with ducted power but that power is very low compared to the weight of the plane.

Have u ever tried increasing the angle of the blades?it will generate more thrust actually.easier said than done tho.Anyway keep up the good work.best wishes from Sri Lanka!
