Nice 👍. You brought back a lot of memories when you acknowledged the mechanics of the past. My father worked for a GM dealership (Empire Chevrolet) in Brooklyn NY from the early 1960s till 1986. I remembered him talking about how heavy the lifting of those engines were. Good stuff.

Nice review, watched one from someone who had no clue what he bought and just trashed the model. These are what they are and anyone who does there homework before buying one would know that. Nice back story on the real car also. Kudos !

This is my favorite luxury coupe from the 70's, for years I though what if they made a large die cast model of the Mark V I would buy it. Well it finally came out but they where going for over $150+ and I couldn't spending that much for a model car. Back in the mid 90's I had a friend with a 1980 Mark 6 Cartier with that retro futuristic digital dash cluster. He had it custom painted bright red with a black roof. It looked wild.

Thank you for your nice review, very useful for me, I decided today to buy the model in the same color. It is a car that I love, in my opinion the most beautiful of all American cars and another that I love is the 1978 Cadillac Eldorado, but I don't know if the model was ever made. I am Italian and these measures are incomprehensible to us, I have never had the opportunity to see one in reality it is fantastic, a dream !! It seems to me a well-made model, in my opinion the value for money is convenient, furthermore even if there are no openings, it doesn't matter, the model gains realism, thus avoiding unsightly slots in the separate parts. i think BoS made a cadillac eldorado of that era, but those are twice the price and even harder to find due to limited quantity and therefore the prices get inflated even more.

Have 3 of them, gold,dark blue, and the red one. Be carefull with the hood ornament, I lost one however found it back on the carpet.

You lucky to have all 3 of them Ill only Have two the blue with little damage paint on hood from plastic car holder And red Lincoln don't have hood omament it didn't came with it It OK car look beautiful

I have to get gold in 1978 version of Lincoln Mark 5 MC IG model. I also have a 1980 Porsche 928 MCG sealed resin model as well.

I have this model on my desk. The other day I was dusting the stuff on my desktop and accidentally swiped the hood ornament off and it went down a heat register in the floor. I tried to get it but it was nowhere to be found. Is there any way I can get a replacement hood ornament?

Beautiful color combination! I wish their details were a little better quality and the quality control was better but for the price I suppose it’s okay. I have a Chinese resin model of this model in the Bill Blass edition I paid about $400 for and the details are beautiful but unfortunately they somehow screwed up the mold making the body kind of have the banana effect especially in the rear curving downward almost making it look like it was rear ended. I wish it was nice and razor straight like this model as the real car was.
