Thanks for the video! I think I may have seen this model last year, but glossed over it. I really like the design and especially the sheath, so went ahead and ordered the burlap micarta version My main concern is in laying down a new or wider edge bevel with those CNC grooves coming down, so will have to remove a lot more steel to keep the same grind. I have a guided sharpener job so will see how that works out. My other immediate change will be to redo the lanyard. I like lanyards, but this one is way too long for some reason. (?). I’m looking forward to getting the knife, and plan to carry it on my left side in a modified scout carry with the butt forward, which seems much more practical to me than strong side with the knife angle pointing to the rear. Thanks again for the introduction and first look! 👍

I think I missed it, whats the weight on this bad boy? FYI you have the sheeth on the wrong side. "Crossdraw" , try it on your left hip.

The relatively low price of this knife and sheath forced me to buy it. I had no power over this decision.

Is your store front open?
@mikeogden525626 күн бұрын
You got your knife on backwards. The bottom of the knife is supposed to poke out the front not towards the back.

its an amazing knife, I understand americans like their products USA made, but honestly 300 for a knife is not exactly patriotic I would say, I love tkell knives but I just cant have a tool that's so expensive and ill be scare to lose. prompts to who ever can buy it, its a lovely knife

Why didn't you finish the main bevels? Those cnc lines look horrible, everything else about the knife looks great and I love the blade shape itself. I just couldn't spend that kind of money on a 3/4 finished knife.

Good luck getting that blade sharp, with those ridges making that edge quite thick.
@E.L.RipleyAtNostromo25 күн бұрын
They said it’s a 17 degree angle, so not thick, but I agree those ridges are going to require more steel to be removed to maintain the same bevel profile as you sharpen. So, yeah, looks cool, but not sure how practical it will be in the long run. I’m willing to give it a try though.
@RoyalWulffDry24 күн бұрын
I have the RMJ knives with mill marks on the blade, it doesn't bother the sharpening. However if you make a bad stroke or mess the angle up you will nick the marks making the geometry/coating look a bit off.
@JustinCase-em6ql24 күн бұрын
@RoyalWulffDry That's one reason I commented. I have the RMJ Sparrow (green handle). Those ridges go almost all the way to the edge. Thick. I do love that little edc knife, though.
@E.L.RipleyAtNostromo24 күн бұрын
@@RoyalWulffDryThis is helpful info, thanks! It will be a while before this blade will need to be sharpened, but I have a TSPROF so hope to keep the bevel even.

@@JustinCase-em6ql They make great tools and the steel snobs hate em, gotta love it. That little sparrow is next on the list. I have the UCap and Raider.

not even close to the best fixed blade ever made nice though
@jeoffreylocke312126 күн бұрын
Definitely not the best fixed blade ever made. There is nothing that stands out to give it that title.
@ghozt911924 күн бұрын
It’s nice , but not the best ever made. Test it against Demko Freerign in magna cut or 3V. Then say that!
