Hello, thanks for the amazing inspiration! Just finished my June strip yesterday. It is clear to see now you are using a very interesting color pattern where the last edge becomes the next inside color. Maybe I missed it if explained this sometime? You do a great job of keeping color choice very open to the crocheter, but your ways of using color are so unique I would love to hear more advice or be given palate suggestions in future videos. Thanks again for all the hard work!

OMG, love this strip too, lol, I love all the stripes. This is absolutely amazing. I'm a little behind have so much to do, working on things for wings and hat not hate. I'm wearing a little thin, but I wouldn't have it any other way, I'm cleaning up my stash this way. I'm sad though, no places locally want any homemade items not even the homeless shelter, unreal, so will be shipping my homemade items to other states. Anyway thank you Jayda for another wonderful strip, I LOVE IT 💘❤💗💖💕 One of these days will have to make a trip for a meet and greet, when this covid thing is over. I live in Maine so a few hours trip would be nice to see you and Mr Institches. Take care look forward to the next video.

Jayda, I'm wondering if I wanted to make it shorter for a baby blanket how could I do that? Also just looking at the blanket how you have it wrapped would make a nice poncho if seemed just right and shortened.
@JaydaInStitches
@JaydaInStitches 3 жыл бұрын
HI Michele, you can make any of these strips on their own, any number of rows, specifically June should be an even number for the Seashells to work out properly. Then, just pick a length you like :)

I got behind by a month so while I am sitting here as Elsa drowns my yard I decided to catch up on my blanket. So I have been doing mine with what ever the holiday is for the month, being June really has nothing I thought well I live in Florida and what do we do a lot of in June. Go to the beach. When I saw that the stitch is called a Sea Shell pattern, Brainstorm, the inside is tan like the beach and the outside is a medium blue like the sky. Tomorrow I will get July done and be all caught up. Yea

Hi Barbara! Yes, my yarn winder winds everything I've thrown at it so far (up to and including size 6 super bulky yarns). I can also rewind an entire Red Heart Comfort (those gigantic balls of yarn) on it and it can handle the size. I absolutely love it and use it regularly!

Hey Jayda and gand i have a problem i have been doing 20 rows of the stitch but when joining feb to jan i have 1 extra shell on the joining border on january how can i alter this
@JaydaInStitches
@JaydaInStitches 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shaz, If you're doing 20 rows, that January would have been 19 rows of split shell and 1 finishing row. February would have been 20 rows of V-Stitches. Make sure you counted your rows accurately. If that's all A-OK, then remember not to confuse the finished corner (shell, ch 2, shell) on the Jan strip with the yet, unfinished corner in the last space on your February strip, sometiems that can look at little funny when you get up to it.

Got a question can I make a potholders with 50 cotton and 50 acrylic and then use the potholders that I make
@JaydaInStitches
@JaydaInStitches 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria, acrylic will melt or at the very least, flatten when exposed to great heat, so you might find that pot holders made with 50/50 will flatten a bit. If you are placing casseroles on them that aren't TOO hot, then they should be fine :)

Two things came to mind while making this strip. 1. Since you turned the May pattern into a bookmark, I could see that happening with the June pattern (and I know someone who would like one or two!) 2. You keep referencing a wrap or a shawl, and i was wondering - what would make a "not so hot" shawl, (it is summer soon and already in the triple digits where I live) and how many strips would make a decent size shawl (or wrap.) Yours is looking very pretty as a shawl, which is inspiring my CroJo to try it!
@JaydaInStitches
@JaydaInStitches 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin! Cotton, linen or bamboo yarn for the summer to start, it's much MUCH cooler. Then, something super open and lacy! So far I'd say the Seashell stitch or maybe the V-Stitch are the two most open, use a larger hook for a lacier stitch and it will be nice and breezy!

Hi Lori, I use the floor! If you don't have enough floor space, then outside you can go with some towels, an old bed sheet and work on the lawn, driveway, porch, deck etc. :)
