I noticed that when I compare this to what I know about MegaMan then Dr Light and Dr Wily are split into 2 characters each, Dr Light is split into Sanda (his optimism and positivity) and Will (His robotic ingenuity and apparent ignorance of the 3 laws of robotics) while Dr Wily is split into Graham (his arrogance and ambition) and Blackwell (His robotic prowess and ability to hold a grudge).

Okay, so since the ending sort of hinted at a sequel to Mighty number 9, does that also mean that people are going to create drawing of new robot bosses just like what happened with the megaman games where draw pictures of ideas for new robot masters.

They already had Mighty Number drawing contests with the Kickstarter backers awhile back (some of the winners are featured on billboards like the one at 1:08) , so I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again.

Not gunna lie, the story was enjoyable for me. Lack of major character development or even great dialogues but it was bearable for me. I did enjoy Dr. White's moment since he felt as if he was the only serious character or the only character to take seriously just like Mr Graham and Dr. Blackwell. I honestly hope a sequel comes, better story, good plot twist, a bit better (and less bad puns) dialogue, different art style (I dont like this chibi style, looks wayyy too childish), and probably extra content. SR, what do you think of this game and what can they improve on?

If we stack the story up against Classic Mega Man storylines that are historically mainly "excuse plots". I'd give this game's story high marks. On it's own though, yeah it's about what you'd expect from a 2D platformer. Dr. White's "reveal" legit surprised me though, that was honestly a cool twist to me. I also like how they got a bit into Mega Man X territory with talk about the "heart" of robots and such. Things to improve on for the sequel... Well first of all don't port the game to 10 different platforms. That just results in a mess as we've seen. Just Nintendo NX, PS4, and Xbox One should be fine. They also should listen to what people have to say - good or bad. To go into specifics, the most obvious is the graphics need to be better. The artstyle itself is fine, but they need better explosion assets and such. If they want a complete artstyle overhaul though, that's on them. Other than that, lip sync the characters for cutscenes. Storywise, yeah. Expand on where you left off, explore the ethics of letting Robots having their own free will. That's all good stuff. More twists would be nice, sure. Gameplay-wise there's not much I'd really change aside from very nitpicky things, such as let me change weapons from the pause menu, and if they can get a big enough budget I want to see more than 12 stages. If challenge mode returns, give us more stuff, more variety, and let me practice against any individual boss in their own challenge. Perhaps tighten up the controls a bit more and streamline things more. But the gameplay as it is, is fun. All in all, I think the sequel has a lot of potential if they listen to the users and continue to improve.

Do you think the hate for this game is unjustified? Also, I personally enjoyed the little last bit of the game where all the Mighty No. helped Beck/each other to get to the final area. I think they should have a BN 5/6 moment where you could play as some of the Mighty No to help Beck in ways like saving him (if he's ever in trouble) or help him reach certain areas. I also think they should really expand on the main characters. I like Beck as a character but he resembled classic MM too much where he didnt talk much in cut scenes and just more or less stuck with the objective without having to say much. He definitely needs something to make him unique rather than the ordinary hero. The goal was to be a spiritual successor and the execution was fine but they could have done something unique. The whole "I dont want to fight unless needed to" kind of personality was already seen in classic MM and we dont need to see it again with Beck.

Yes I think the hate went overboard. I won't say unjustified because there were some legit reasons to be angry or disappointed, but most people have blown it out of proportion, and that caused the game to be judged unfairly in general. I knew that even before the game came out to be honest.

i enjoyed the steam version of this game. ray was both fun and a nightmare to play with imo. i think my issue was starting with pyro for a first boss. big mistake with ray. love how strong ray is against bosses if you have the weakness weapon, but i still hate the hp thing.

Dynatron is a good first boss for RAY, same with Aviator. I recommend Dynatron first, then use that to take out Battalion. Battalion's weapon will let RAY play more like Beck, making some levels easier. However, it's complete shit against bosses, except for Trinity's first form and Seismic.

TheSonTendo i ended up going counter shade first in my playthrough (sfter losing horribly to pyro). his stage was hard with ray, but he as a boss had no chance of hitting me. as for trinity, or in general actually, screw batallions weapon. with ray, dynatrons weapon is where its at there. ray flat out doesnt have time to be slowly damaging bosses.dynas weapon combined with down dashing deals a ton of damage fast.

+omegazeroINFI I felt battalion was best for phase 1 of Trinity. However, dynatron was perfect for phase 2. That's why I recommended dynatron has a first boss, she's the new metal blade with RAY.

battalion is the safest if you can avoid getting grazed, but dynatron for both phases is good imo. just stick it to trinity when weak and then dash ontop. i finished phase one on average, in less than 2 minutes.

PS4 worked no problem. Since you're insistent on getting the Wii U version I have one pro tip for you. Go to the General Options. See that option called "Bloom"? Switch that thing off. It'll make the game at least playable.

Not gunna lie, this game is everything you could do wrong with game design. No box left unchecked. If you like this game you are either a lying fanboy or know nothing about games and what makes them fun. Do yourself a favor and play Megaman X to see it done right.

I respect your opinion sir. I happen to like both Mighty no. 9 and Megaman X. However for different reasons. I do agree however with the fact that Mighty No. 9 is very flawed. It's sloppy, poorly made, the lines are overly cheesy, There is little to NO story, and There are tons of "Yeah I get it" moments. The reason I like Mighty No. 9 you ask? It's not the story (Or lack thereof), it's not the abilities, it's the characters. I enjoy the conversations, I enjoy the personalities, and I enjoy the relationships between them. As for Megaman X there needs no explaining. It's literally blessed by the video game gods. Beautifully paced, amazing lines, a goal right in front of your face (Zero), A rival to beat (Vile), teaches you everything you need right in the intro stage, Amazing characters, and the player feels connected to the main protagonist. In fact Megaman X is my favorite Megaman incarnation. Have a good day. ^_^
