Legitimately love the message you guys push here. People are so willing to just throw something away at the first minor inconvenience, and it extends now to more than just material stuff. Relationships, friendships, marriages. People don't try to fix or maintain anything, they just throw it away first little challenge. The world as a whole is losing mechanics and blue collar workers by the droves. There's gonna be a renaissance one day, but it's gonna be rough until then. Appreciate you guys.

Socket needs hammering on, then spins freely on the perfectly rounded off head. Car won't go through MOT test without replacing the part this bolt is holding on. Weirdbeard signing in! Some Clio tips - Oil filter is heaps easier to get to when you remove the fuel rail guard (2 x 10mm nuts, piece of piss to remove). - Oil leaks will be the sump gasket (needs subframe dropped or engine lifted up to get the sump out, yay) and the gearbox driveshafts or gear selector seal. Dash cover if cracked (these days cracked dash is not such an issue). Pump tyres. Make sure A/C works. check all fluids including washer bottle (water). Degrease motor. Armorall trims; but don't over do it making interior greasey/ oily !!. Once we bought a VW Golf running on two cylinders. It had a box of new plug wires. Aussies probably don't care AS much about that, but here in sub-arctic northern Sweden when it's -20C and below for months as well as down to -40 or even a couple of degrees colder at the worst each winter, the heater core is KIND of a big deal. Also, when it's leaking like mine did, the inside of the windshield gets coated in coolant. I actually ran with the pressure cap off the expansion tank for about a month before i could borrow another car while COMPLETELY removing the entire dash from the firewall to get at the heater core.

It’s these videos that got me into fixing my own car. This year I did the head gasket on my 3RZ. If it wasn’t for MCM I wouldn’t have got into fixing my own cars.

Love this, fellers. 5 years back my room mate was gifted a newer car. I bought his proper flogged Elantra for $500, sunk $500 into parts, drove the piss out of it for 2 years until it got infested by mice... insurance paid out about 6.5X. Best investment I've made to date. Might start buying shit cars like Bitcoin

Awesome! Absolutely love this kinda stuff from you! I've been doing cars and bikes like this for a few years now and I can say it's worth it even if the only payment is the experience.

Totally did the ball inflation (footy ball in my case) to fix a dent in my Wife's old Impreza RV. Works a treat!

Another way to get a " cheap " car is deceased estate sale. But, you got to get in before the bottom feeders. I picked up a Golf mk3. One owner last year. In the process of refreshing it and back on the road it goes.

Love this idea! Fun old school KZbin that just isn't happening right now. Down to the roots of buying crap and )just got to 2:10 Moog, you used to drink that stuff!( just great content that you don't see much of anymore. You guys can spend huge budget and make bangers, or attempt to turn a profit )how much was the filming/rent/overhead to produce vs the car?( and still make bangers!

Ah, comedy gold 😄 Love this flipping format, would love to see more! Great to hear you like saving things rather than throwing away.

Very cool Episode, I had the same thoughts about Renault vehicles when I was a car mechanic back in the day. "Thank you Renault“ 😅
