You're getting really really good at painting Hutts, the airbrush gradients, the eyes, and the washes really bring em to life. I hope Legion or something releases a nice Jabba, if not I'll just print my own.

This is a massive undertaking. I know what it's like having to repaint things as it can take its toll. Fantastic job, your effort really paid off. The scene with the Hutts was weirdly lit in the show. It's hard to see what any colour was for sure.

Trust me, this story gets interesting ⬇ Today, I attended a craft festival in my local area where people bring their creations and sell them to anyone who comes in. It's usually things like jewellery, crotchettes, ect•, but, today, when I arrived, an unusual stand caught my eye, one I had of seen head before. Running the stand was a man in his late 50's-early 60's, selling 3D prints from all sorts of different movies -Alien, Predator, Jurassic Park and even Labyrinth! But, the items that I was mostly interested in was Star Wars (obviously). I stared at these little models and statues for quite a while, about 10-15 mins, while talking the the man running the satll. We spoke about Star Wars and the different things he was selling, but, what really got my attention, was when he told me about one of his close friends -Dave Barclay. Who is, if you don't know, a famous puppeteer who has worked on many films as many characters, such as, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, but most importantly, puppeteered THE Jabba The Hutt's right arm and jaw! I wasn't expecting to meet Jabba The Hutt's right arm's best friend, today, but, here we are. He also told me that he had 3D Printed some of the characters that Dave played for his 70th Birthday, which I thought was cool. Anyway, just thought I'd share this 😁😁

You are so hard on yourself, this is a gorgeous and very complicated statue. Seeing jabba on there at the end adds a lot to under standing the scale of it. The sheer opulence of 13 action figures to hold them up and the complexity of the engineering involved, could you imagine trying to just assemble that set of figures back in the 80's?

Lucasfilm has gotten so good at matching the ranges of the physical puppets to keep you largely in that magical space where a massive chunk of foam is believably a charicter and only adding in small consessions for younger folks who dont have as close a connection to seeing ROTJ as a kid. Eyeblinks, twitching expressions and so on.

Looks very good like yeah the face details on the carriers look a bit rough but in that size there's not much you can do i saw much worse in oficial figures, so path yourself in the back you did a great job.

Yeah it was fun to see what a rancor was really capable of, even if the whole sequence seemed a little like an excuse to pay homage to King Kong when he climbed on top of a building

Since you already did the work to pre-support them it would be awesome if he could include those files in case anyone wanted to use them (like me). Now I have to weigh the time required to support them myself vs. doing other hobby stuff instead.

I literally just used the automatic supports in Chitubox and they came out fine so it’s not like I did anything special. I don’t think you’re likely to have many issues

I recently purchased this same 3D printed set from a secondary seller (don’t own a printer, want one tho) & have been painting it by hand. Question- during the print it appears to had ‘bubbles’ or breaks in the resin that created ‘worm holes’ at random spots about 2mm wide. Seller’s fix suggestion was not a help, & in other videos you patch larger areas, was wondering if you had any suggestions for (low cost) fixes for these wormholes?

Excellent paint and construction of these two Hutts held on a platform by the 11 or so weight bearers! I'm waiting for the Obi Wan series before Disney+, so these Hutts appearing in Book of Boba Fett is a welcome surprise, and what I was hoping to see in some form. Great news, thanks!

It depends on the type of resin. Of course these tiny figures are so lightweight that they might survive being dropped without any problem, but larger ones printed in standard resin will probably break when dropped. If you use something like ABS-like resin they will have a better chance

If these twins weigh as much as Jabba, each person is carrying 500 pounds. 3000 lbs each, so 6000 lbs/12 people = 500 lbs.

They don’t seem as large as Jabba, but it’s also conceivable that the litter actually does include some sort of antigravity function that makes them light enough to carry

Great job!! However, I have an idea, but without criticism: the weight of an adult elephant is about 4000-6000 kg. Let's think that the skeleton of a Huth may not be very heavy, but they are huge... so I don't think their weight is less than 5000 kg each. So we have 10000 kg and let's forget the platform. So if there are only 13 men carrying this… they will have to bear at least 800kg each and walk with it! 😅🤔 Maybe they should apply a little technology to help...

My head canon is that they have incorporated just enough hover technology into their platform to make it possible for their bearers to carry it.

The only issue I've had with the book of boba fett is that it seems pretty slow. Not a fan of the cyborg hipsters or their metal flake candy paint job rascal hover scooters.
