Excellent tutorial! You made this difficult looking block attainable for me. The best I've seen for this block. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this straightforward method for making flying geese. I've been wondering how to border a seaside quilt, and now I know- a birder of flying gulls! 😅 ❤👍from Somerset UK

I've seen a tutorial for this before, and it was so confusing, ... plus it indicate that a special ruler was required, so I didn't even try. Thank you!!! You presented this so well, and so clearly, while at the same time making it feel so doable!!! I can't wait to try it now! And thank you for the simple explanation of how to resize it. I will be following you for more. :)

What a beautiful pattern! I saw one for sale in a craft store for $90! It was about the size of a table runner - or bell pull. The background was made from 3 strips. It was gorgeous!

Thank you for sharing this cute design! I have been looking for designs like this to add borders to a medalion quilt. It would also be a fun addition to a row quilt. I'm so glad this popped up on my suggested videos today.

They're lovely, Nora. The Christmas tree quilt you made once, is about my favourite ever block. Love from England.

I love your tutorial. Thank you sharing the technique. I have been wanting to make this flying design, but could never figure it out or never got instructions for it. I am saving this because I will be making this at some point. Your explanation is great and I am subscribing to you and hope to see more great things from you.

This is so much easier than other methods! Thank you. I think you could use the triangle that you trimmed off the bottom to fill in the smaller triangle area on the top!

I love this block. I would have to play with it, but there has to be a way to get the heads upright on most blocks. I think it has to do with which corner you put the directional print on the background square.

Hi Nora, I am curious if you are still working on the friendship quilt with the bird panel pieces? I was inspired and fell in love with those birds so much I went looking for a panel. The panel was included in the collection fat QTR bundle, so I opted to buy that when I found a couple of panels for sale on Etsy. Thanks for your videos!

Could you use the bottom triangle that you trimed off to fill in at top- the small triangle?

I don’t know what shop Nora got it from but it’s by Ruby Star Society - I believe it’s the “Sunbeam” line. Search those online to see if anyone has it.

I would also love to know what line faces come from

Thank you for sharing a flying geese pattern that I have never seen. I like that. You gave easy to understand instructions, thank you! Thank you also for not wearing bright nail polish! It is SO distracting when an instructor of any kind does that, that I exit the video.

Couldn’t you use the triangle that is taken off the bottom for the smaller one added to the top? Less waste and effort.
