Watching the ending of your first video brought back so much memories for me especially when you wrote “Delayed but not denied”. The process can be a little overwhelming but one has to have patience and look at the bigger picture. When my process started I was proactive after realizing that I couldn’t find my immunization card,I had to get all my shots over because they would have cost an arm and a leg at Andrew’s. Sadly I remember a gentleman who I met while awaiting my medical,he had his kids with him who he later found out wasn’t his….all three. Love your content and I will subscribe,all the best.

How did your husband go about changing his status from green card to naturalization? Did he do it on the USCIS system or did he send in a mail to the office?

@@coolie18 I believe he sent a copy of the naturalization certificate to them as well as uploaded it to USCIS

I took everything and they only took the picture and other documents they didn’t ask for those.they just asked 4 little questions and that’s it I forget my police record had to send that in after I did my medical.

The photos and stuff they asked for were the same ones that were submitted with your application.

Yes, so the originals that you'd submit when you get to the NVC stage walk with all of those as well as picture proofs etc. to the interview.

Congratulations babygirl🎉 delayed but not denied very powerful statement. Question so it is possible to get tetanus shot, covid vaccine and varcella shots anywhere and can go to do the mediacl examination at Andrews you are saying?

You can get the vaccines anywhere and have it placed on your immunization card prior to your medical, if you cant get it anywhere you can wait to get it at Andrews but note that they might be more expensive. Andrew's is where you have to do your medical if you're migrating to the US.

I was documentarily qualified with NVC October and got the letter in January so call it 3 months.

How long it took for you to get your medical/ interview letter from NVC

Exactly 2 years after starting my process - with USCIS being majority of that and 3 months after completing the USCIS stage. Hope that helps.

Did you get the option of getting the exam results in a sealed envelope and them sending it to the embassy for you?

No, I heard they hardly do that again.

@@shaybeadle Ok. That is what I am getting to understand. Question: opon getting the interview notice, what is the time span from interview notice to actual interview date. I am asking because I am trying to figure out how time would a person have to schedule medical, do police record etc and have time to play with

@princeofpeacejm Well the police record is normally needed for the NVC stage though I know there can be some exception. My timeline from interview letter to the actual date was a month and a few days, not sure if that's for everyone.

@@shaybeadle Ok thanks. I was mostly concerned about that gap... because I already know appointment for medical has to be done 10 days prior. But as you mentioned that there has been problems with getting an actual date with time to spear. Getting a medical date and have time to spear is always better Incase any additional things to take care of one will have time to play with rather that getting a medical real close to interview date.

After I did my interview it took about two weeks

@trishanawatkin5410 No. When you get your interview letter from the Embassy then you schedule your medical. I had my interview the week after my medical.

Is this the same process for people under 21?

I believe everyone on filing from JA for the US has the same process though there might be a few things that are different for eg. the requirements at the medical may be different based on age as well as the line of questioning at the interview stage

Was it the digital COVID vaccine certificate you downloaded and used as proof that you are vaccinated ?

I walked with that to my medical but they only took the COVID vaccine card that was filled out when I got the vaccine. I advice walking with both still.
