Dear Julie! Thank you for the helpful video. I wonder if I can travel to Australia on a tourist visa as a Swedish citizen, and while there, lodge the onshore partner visa? After having logded the partner visa I can apply for the bridging visa. Did I understand it correctly?

I’m an Australian Citizen and my fiancé is a UK citizen. We plan on getting married asap in Australia and we’re planning on getting an onshore partner visa 820/801. He is currently in the UK and we we wondering if he was to come to Australia on a tourist visa, and we were to get married and then apply for the partner visa, would the bridging visa come into effect? If so, what bridging visa will we most likely get? Would you recommend getting a different visa?

Thanks for this video! I just want to verify. I have a tourist visa that will expire on dec 10, 2020 but i plan to apply for partner visa 820 on aug2020. The bridging visa will take effect on dec 10, 2020. Does it mean that's the time i can apply for medicare and not aug2020 by the time i lodge the application? Thanks alot!

My wife is australian citizen,i used to live with her at her mums place with her , 1 day we had little argument and her mum rang ther cops and they put dvo ot me , my wife still lives ther but i live with my mates but the old address i use for everything, I put my file July 2019 , i wanna just ask the dvo will effect or not , my wife see me all the time at mates place, what should i do, please explain me i m on bridging visa

I have been granted Subclass 820 recently, which took 18 months to be finalised. So I will wait for another 6 months to lodge a new application for 801?

Yes, you can apply for the 801 in six months time if it was two years from the lodgement of your initial application

We do assist with student visa subsequent entrant application. Our latest practical experience shows the processing time took 10 months from date of lodgement. However, due to COVID-19 travel restriction, the processing time may be longer, as you won’t be able to travel to Australia on a temporary visa before the travel restrictions are lifted.

Our 820 visa took only about 11 months before it was accepted, so i'll need to wait another 13 months before lodgeing my 801 visa application?
