I’m in New York and got to see you at the event! It was so nice to see you Aaron. A big thing in the states that wasn’t mentioned is if you go out to eat you need to look up about tipping culture. If it is a sit in restaurant with a waiter be prepared to tip like 15% -30%. It is how they make their living cause they don’t make minimum wage. Some of them make literally $3 an hour. Sometimes the receipt will say how much it will be with certain % of tip like it will add it for you say you can pick that amount and when you sign for your card you know what to put it on just do the math on your phone. Also be ready for people to not understand you at all if you don’t speak English, a lot of Americans are monolingual and our education system isn’t set up really well like other countries for kids to become fluent in another language from their time in school.

When I studied in US, I ate kids' meal cuz regular dish too big for me. And yes when I drove from CO to Yellowstone, very exhausted... need to take a nap at rest area. Also, when I went to LA, my friend warned me not to go to some area at night. And for people who want to go to US, Aaron and Joel's advices are the must to concern. 😁

As an American this was hard to listen to, yet it is all true. One really great thing about America are the national parks. If you love the outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking, and such, we have some really beautiful national parks. You have to watch out for the bears though. Had to add an edit. There are still states that do say the pledge in schools. Texan schools start the day with the American pledge, and then the Texan pledge. Yeehaw!!

Yes, you don't leave valuables out in the open or unattended. Past midnight it isn't wise to go out alone. Otherwise, I've never seen anyone open carry. Most people are a bit more discreet about it since they don't want to be targeted first in case of a shooting. The US is perfectly safe in most parts of the country as long as you have common sense.

I absolutely loved this episode. My father was military & I was born in Germany, living there for 8 years, but was raised in Tennessee & now live in Texas where everything is big. Regarding customer service, it is so bad everywhere. Not sure where humanity went but it is almost non existent. Because I was raised in the south I’ve been told I ooze honey when I speak with customers. I was raised to be kind, caring, & remembering my character. One time a customer referred to me as Mary Poppins because I was too nice & they were offended. I laughed so hard when I was by myself but it made me wonder, do some people like being treated badly? I have to say, while food portions are indeed huge quality is not a priority, in some cases. I had to laugh when a salad was referred to as a bush, it’s so true 😂. Joel & Aron you hit on everything that people need to know about, while comical, everything y’all spoke about was spot on. Oh my goodness, just being a citizen you can go broke with medical expenses. I agree, the topics you mentioned, definitely stay away from them, it could go so badly. As a citizen I avoid any topic that may veer from my beliefs, just not gonna touch that, I prefer peace. Thank you for covering the topics you did, you guys are just fun while making very valid points. ❤

Damn as a black American born and raised, and dying to start traveling/visiting other countries one day, it’s really sad to hear different perspectives of America and Americans once you move away and really start experiencing other cultures and their customs. Like 98% of this video is true for visitors and the other aspects just depends on where you are, who you’re with and what you actually what to do in America. 😅 great video guys!

In New York city, people still still steal, but if you want to go to the bathroom and leave your stuff behind, I highly suggest you ask someone to "watch your stuff" for you. It's very likely if your wallet is dropped someone will run after you and return it, but if you leave it behind in a cafe and no one notices you dropped it, it's as good as gone.
