Absolutely agree comfortable clothes r the best and not tight & tight-fitting ones what women's clothes usually r. Also liked to see those old pics of Aaron's outfits,Deja vu outfit looked great. Sam Smith's black outfit some reason reminded me of Solitaire's Spade card. I don't rlly understand fashion either and I don't follow it at all.👏

Here i am again...KCB I miss you. Joel mentioned North Dakota, recently i watch YT channel Chris Attrel a lot, he visits many ghost towns and abandoned places like North Dakota, Montana, route 66. Those places totally empty 😮 with many historical buildings like churches, schools, grocery stores. Very interesting way to learn the history of America in late 19th century to early 20th century with minings railways and highways 👍

41:23 agree with Joel 49:27 PlayStation? 2nd grade… not Nintendo? PlayStation was out then? Idk maybe my timeline is off.. definitely had a birthday where no one showed.. can’t remember the reason why no one came. But I live in New Orleans and my birthday is usually around Mardi Gras. Could have been a factor.. didn’t stop me from having future birthdays. Last birthday was last minute Chuck E Cheeses for my 21st birthday

Btw thanks for acknowledging Boa I have friend who was influenced by 2nd and 3rd gen and they think Boa is "overrated" like she was ALONE when she break though Kpop in Jpop. ALONE... no social media, took train alone, no strong format of training system and just DID IT ALL at the age of 13! There wasn't anything before that.. like Korean artist was barely out there.. it was the world of Cpop and Jpop artist for intl fans. She breakthrough then TVXQ came along (broke records) and then the rest is history! I would say she is the first person who CRACKED the hole in the ice... for the Hallyu Wave!

The Olympics were HUGE in the US. (Yes, football dominates nowadays) It literally was a 20th century/Cold War thing, the USSR vs the US and American families, up until maybe the 90s or even up until the early 2000s, the Olympics were an event where entire families would sit down together and watch in Prime time. 1935, Jesse Owens, nobody had tvs back then but they sure as hell knew who he was. There is a reason why we all know Bruce Jenner was a decathlete because it was a big deal back then to be an Olympic gold medalist in the US and everyone could watch him on television like they did Nadia Comaneci, she is Romanian but a huge star in the US for 76 but also for defecting from a dictatorship. Gold medals came with huge endorsements, the Wheaties box, tv appearances, cameos in sitcoms or movies etc. The Olympics now can be viewed during any time of day online or PVR'ed and you can pick and choose what events you want to watch, usually not due to nationalism but due to interest and you don't have to sit through stuff you don't care for. Before, it was all about nationalism. So you had to watch or you were a bad American. Every modern Olympics had its star athlete, Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, always a . I mean, come on, Figure Skating was even huge until the 90s, it was mainstream. The way we view the Olympics has changed and that is why people don't watch as much. And US athletes don't dominate as much, China and Russia are big fat dopers, so it kinda ruins the spirit of clean sport to have two of the biggest countries having state sponsored doping programs. The reason why people from recently immigrated families support their heritage countries is because the US sucked in men's soccer, and they still do relative to South American and European countries. Canada, who is 1/10th the size of the US is better and you see a shift from people supporting heritage countries to supporting Canada.

The Opening Ceremony always features the host country. There was a presentation of the values of France (liberty, equality, fraternity, etc.), historical reminders of the monuments seen along the Seine and reminders of Greece, the founders of the games

I am a Christian and I was not shocked at all. The organisers of the Olympic ceremony explained that they were not thinking of the Last Supper at all, but of a Greek festival. They were not in front of a table but in front of a podium and the still image is completely misleading. Many people only look at this image without looking at the ceremony. Even if some people believe they recognize the Last Supper, religious professionals have explained that the painting of the Last Supper is a painting by Leonardo da Vinci and not at all a cult painting. Anyone can reproduce this painting, it is not blasphemous at all! There have already been many parodies everywhere, broadcast all over the world (Simpson, Southpark, paintings, photographs etc) The church has never protested! In addition, Jesus Christ advocated love and tolerance! He had even taken Mary Magdalene, who was a sinner, as a disciple. I am sure that if Jesus had lived today, he would have taken someone from the homosexual community among his apostles. Those who criticize do not respect the will of Jesus Christ!

There is more than one painting of gods eating at a long table and someone in the center with halo. I think they took inspiration from more than one painting. The last supper is the most famous though.

The opening ceremony of the games by tradition presents the host country. The organisation wanted to convey a message of love, tolerance and diversity that is totally in the Olympic spirit. They didn't want to parody the painting of the Last Supper at all, it was more like the painting The Feast of the Gods. Even if some could dress at the Last Supper, I see no offense to Christianity. On the contrary, they wanted to convey a message of love. Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper is one of the most parodied paintings in the world. He has been parodied in series such as The Simpsons, Southpark, by many other painters and photographers. It has become an image of pop culture. I am a Christian and I am sure that if Jesus Christ had lived today, He would have chosen an apostle from the homosexual community. His message was one of love and tolerance. He did even more since he welcomed Judas when Judas had betrayed him and he had Mary Magdalene as a disciple who was a sinner. Overall, the ceremony wanted to convey a message of love, tolerance and diversity, which is largely the message that Jesus Christ gave us. Homosexuals and drag queens do not hurt anyone and suffer from it themselves. Conservative Christians do not respect the message of Jesus Christ and do not understand the human problems

The opening ceremony of the games traditionally presents the host country. Following the course of the Seine, you see the monuments of Paris and some have a specific history, which is why they showed Marie Antoinette. I really liked the message of love, tolerance and diversity. If you look at the whole ceremony, there were some very beautiful things.

The production and broadcasting of the opening ceremony is carried out by an international company that is not at all French and depends solely on the IOC. The IOC apologised. I understand that this mistake on the name of South Korea may have shocked the Koreans, but the mistake came from the IOC. As for the flags, they almost mistook the flag but didn't, they rectified it. During the last Olympic Games in Korea, the Russian flag was put in place of the French flag during a whole ceremony. Unfortunately, to err is human.

The buildings in the Olympic Village were designed to reduce the outside temperature by 7 degrees. Paris enjoys a temperate climate. The games are committed to making ecological games, which is why there was no air conditioning, it is not at all for the sake of economy. Each delegation was informed and was able to book mobile air conditioners before and during the games. If athletes did not have a mobile air conditioner, it is the fault of their delegation. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation on the internet.

agree with joel about the hijab part. Hijab doesn't have anything to do with the athletes' performance, no reason to not allow muslim french girls to wear them. The one who made the rule is probably just islamophobic and racist
