I don't care if this band ever return to using double-kick drums, distorted riffs and growling. I just want them to write more melancholic epics like they did in their early days. Imagine another 15-20 minute suite with all their accumulated musical/songwriting experience.

I agree. Their new stuff (last two albums) Is far too happy and weird.

If they can build upon 'In Cauda' - the possibilities are so interesting. What a band. What a songwriter.

Fuck yeah!! I love those records so much and I absolutely hate everyone shitting on them. I saw the ICV tour in Prague and the setlist was phenomenal. I mean Moon above, Nepenthe, Alting tar slut, The Lotus eater, Harlequin forest...

@@filipkocis3351 man those songs alone, are so amazing! You’re so lucky to see them played live 🙌🏻

I believe that opeth " fans" shitting on the other albums simply didn't listen to them. Because how can you listen to them and dislike them when they are genuinely masterpieces, even though they sound very different.
@brightfalls67886 күн бұрын
If I could choose their setlist: Serenity Painted Death Beneath The Mire To Rid The Disease Strange Brew The Amen Corner Masters Apprentices Goblin Benighted The Baying Of The Hounds Faith In Others I wish the “fans” had better taste when picking these setlist so we could have them play some of these live before they all get arthritis. The entire point of letting the fans choose is to give the opportunity to hear something special instead of just the same old stuff.
