The way he describes guarding Steph Curry sounds like him waking up from a nightmare.

Steph is so unique, he's a killer when he gets the ball but even more lethal when the ball isn't in his hands. His gravity and the ability to make play for others or to make people around him better is insane. He makes so much impact that i have never seen any players like that, he's freaking great but the talent to make everyone around you great too is what made him priceless. Such an once in lifetime guy

He's the only guy that comes to mind when it comes to blitz and double teams, chasing this guy around 24/7. You cannot let up. It's not even close. As soon as he steps across that half court line, you have to be on him because he makes those shots. KD/Luka, you have to be on them but you ain't gotta put that kind of pressure like you do on Curry. Lebron, you just hope he shoots lol.

Not only you gotta worry about where Steph is going, you also have to watch out for Green, cause Green could fake and drive or set up someone else.....the small ball lineup is dangerous

@@kiloangels I love Klay but his off ball shots are mostly a set up by the team, while Steph is the main accessory to set it up with green.

The difference between Steph and the others that you can guard the others in a similar way and it could work. Being solid against Steph only works to a certain extent, and even then Trying to dribble past the defender is Steph’s 3rd or 4th option😂. Making Steph take tough shots, we all know where that gets you: in a “Stephs craziest shots” compilation. Even studying Stephs game like you would Study Luka or Tatum doesn’t do much. Everyone knows Stephs base game. Catch and shoots, pick n rolls, relocates. But actually defending it is a completely different story. You have to put a different man on Steph in each quarter just to keep up.

The problem with PG is his health and he doesn't do enough things at an elite level. Yes there's no flaw to his game but he isn't good enough at any level to be different than the rest.

And that's exactly how Steph made up for his lack of size and athleticism to survive and even dominate the NBA. His speed and top-tier conditioning to move so fast and relocate off the ball, add that he's the best shooter to ever touch the basketball, has made him one of the most lethal offensive players of all time to ever grace that court. I still believe the ONLY reason we don't he is not the GOAT of basketball is because of his physical limitations. Just imagine if he had Lebron's body and athleticism with all the skills he has today. Imagine a high-flying, dunking, blocking Curry. We could be looking at a basketball god. Meanwhile shrink the best players in the Top 10 All-Time down to his size and build and they will NEVER be the same again.

Lol, how do you even answer that dumb of question. What did I learn about myself. What kind of answer was she expecting? "I learned that I have the courage and bravery to complete any task in life after guarding Steph Curry."

It's actually a really good question interview wise. Makes him talk about the tough defensive challenges he faced and what he took away from them to get better. And he gave really good, insightful answers that say a lot about himself and about what makes his opponents special. What's the problem?
@Ahilliard44
@Ahilliard44 2 ай бұрын
@mat well the problem is that everyone says that about these guys. A better question is not what did you learn from these guys but how did you apply what you've learned from them to your game with examples. That takes the perpespective off the other stars and makes it more about Bridges and his own experience using the things he learned from super stars, that everyone obviously already knows. Everyone knows Curry is scary off ball, everyone knows Luka can foul bait, everyone knows that PG is like the prototypical elite body type and skillset for a star basketball player. Talking about his own experiences with the things he learned makes a more full story and allows him to talk more about what happened rather than how he feels. Also allows him to put his personality into. All in all to me, of course just my opinion, that's a better question that leads to a more interesting answer becuase aren't we interviewing Bridges and not Luka or Steph, or PG? To me this clip was less about Bridges and more about those guys which seems like the opposite of what was intended.

@@Ahilliard44 I think the question implies a personal answer. He could have said something like this: "i learned that im not as in good condition as i thought i was. When i saw [X Player] chasing him around screens and making him work, i thought i could do that too, espcially with my frame. But then you get to match up with him, and you see its way different. Its like you're guarding the whole team, cause there's the handoffs, the screens, chasing him around them, and when he puts the ball on the floor. There's a lot you see on the film and think 'oh i can do that' but then get in the game, and your body starts telling you you're not at that level of conditioning yet. So i had to work on that, and make myself able to keep that level of physicality and attention when we play the Steph and the warriors." reminds me of something Fox said
