I’ve maybe had 2 slightly different routines over the past 5 years (pretty much the same but one slightly different product added in or swapped out). There’s no way someone with acne prone skin that they’ve cleared up would change up their routine THAT much in such a short time. Once you find what works you are terrified to switch incase it brings ur acne back.

To be fair I think the accent thing (it being lesser when calm and more severe when excited) is pretty normal? Like where I live, the country accent only really comes out within people when you're really heated. Like I speak with a very slight accent normally and a very severe one when angry or happy.

I can understand why she asked because they posted shop links on her video. The standard for this is affiliate commission, period. Them just reposting her video would be different. Using the shop links to earn money off her content is especially egregious when she's actually tried to work with them before and they ignored her. If the company wants an ad they can pay her for it.
@aneleh66 ай бұрын
@@kpstl26But at the same time she tagged the brand in her post. I can only think of two reasons why you should do that, either you hope the brand will repost or you want to send your followers over to buy from that brand. Technically both of those things happened, she was reposted and with the shop links people could buy the products from the brand…

I am a New Englander like Mikayla, I will say it's really common for people (specifically women when the accent is seen as harsh or manly) to drop their accent in professional settings - i.e. the video she filmed for her college where she doesn't have an accent. Accents are often seen as not very marketable so I'm not surprised she would have learned to drop it. I think she definitely plays up her accent for Tiktok like she would if she might be talking to an older Southie or family member -- to me I look at it as a low-stakes form of code switching idrc. Honestly of all the shit she's pulled, her accent is the least concerning of issues.
