My father was beaten as a child. His mother always wanted a daughter and she had a baby girl after 3 sons. She was over the moon. Then she died at age 2. It did something to her on the soul level. My father was born 3 years later. Had he been a girl, she would have loved him, but she took out her grief and pain on him. She was short sighted and didn't consider that he would have two daughters and not know how to be a loving father. My father had a grand vision for his family, but he defaulted to the level of his training. I was raised Atheist, but I became a Christian at age 21. My mother's mother prayed I would survive childhood. After I was kicked out of my fathers house after graduating high school, she asked me 6x to attend church with her, before I went. I survived childhood, but it took another 20 years to recover emotionally, with God's help. I know I can endure anything the future throws at me because I am tough, strong and I've got God to help me.

That being said, what Mr. Cernovich described here about the sexualization and grooming of those of us in Gen X was so powerful and true I wept. The way he articulated it is exactly right and so clear … we were steeped like those frogs in the water in the idea that it was totally normal to be sexual as a teen, expected even. It was always wrong, but also challenging as a teen. No whining as every generation has their different pressures to conform. I just think back to why there were so few standing up against this and how those who did were mocked. This was a phenomenally encouraging, thought-provoking and real conversation. He's pretty accurate on the outlook on life: DO STUFF to better your self, don't go into the victim mentality or the blame/hate mentality. My son is 19, and white, and truly what saved his life from going in the toilet was Christ. A few months before turning 18, he realized he was headed down a bad path. We had been going to church for a while, but he was inconsistent about going. We would talk about things, life stuff and especially biblical subjects. At some point, he decided to fully follow Christ and quit smoking, partying (almost overnight!) and slowly had to stop hanging out with people who were only wanting to stay dragged down and on the wrong path. It was difficult; some he had been friends with for many years, but he knew he was being told to let go so he did. 2 1/2 yrs later, the Spirit is so strong in him. People that knew him before are blown away by how much he has changed. He is helping others overcome their darkness, and leads his own bible study. He just blows off whatever negative things are thrown at him, doesn't let other people define who he is. The turn around is amazing. He knows he's a son of God and while he's not perfect, he does his best to help anyone in need and stay humble knowing it's not him but Christ through him that does it. All praise be to the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! Amen 🙏❤✝️

Yes, there are many astoundingly courageous Christians, those with faith and proper understanding. Then there's the majority of protestants who think that being nice and never ever judging anyone for anything is the biggest command Christ gave us and that we need to always turn the other cheek no matter what. That's all obviously heretical and has lead the mainline Protestant churches to accept all sorts of atrocious behaviour and teachings. The Catholics have similar issues but for different reasons. Well, that was bound to happen if you sever yourself from the only Church of Christ as the Roman Catholics did already a thousand years ago and then due to their obvious errors the Protestants cut themselves of that corrupted branch but ended up falling away even further (most have anyway). The Orthodox Church is the only Church still teaching exactly what was taught by the Apostles and the concrete Body of Christ that He Himself established on Earth. I kindly as anyone reading this to do your own research and find out what all the earliest sources we have tell us of what those early Christians believed as we have a lot if very early sources and then compare that with what the various Protestants and Catholics teach, if you are honest and looking for the Truth that is Christ Himself, you'll come to understand that only the Orthodox Church believes the same what those earliest Christians believed and what the Apostles themselves taught. God bless!
@francestaylor91562 ай бұрын
I will say this. The Protestants lost the masses in droves under their watch. New Atheism became a prominent ideology in the early 2000s. Clearly the Protestants are doing something wrong. Meanwhile, the Orthodox Church has more and more followers today.

Advice for young men is probably best part of this interview. I wish every 15-19 year-olds could listen to this! The subconscious program of "mentor will show up... someone will save you" is a real thing. At 38 as I think back about my late teens and 20s that was very much part of my belief and not until I realized no one was going to save me, and if I wanted an amazing life the only way it was going to happen was through me (with Gods will - topic for another comment tho).
