I have seen the Northern Lights twice. Once 1972 in a stopover for fuel in Fairbanks while in the military and once, believe it or not 16 miles west of Washington DC in 64 or 65. It was a very strong solar storm and the sky was beautiful. But unfortunately people came running out of their homes screaming and crying thinking it was a nuclear attack. They calmed down when there was no blast wave or mushroom cloud.

My in-laws were stationed at Ft. Wainwright (Fairbanks) in 1972 and told my husband and I all about the Northern Lights only for us to be stationed there in 2004 and experience it ourselves! We are all from Indiana just like Mike Epps.

I love Mike Epps. I'm a white guy who played sports in my youth. He reminds me of some of my childhood black friends. Oddly, I've been to Iceland, my husband, my sister and I were on our way home to California and took Iceland Air and we were supposed to have a 2 hour layover in Iceland, but we got stuck with a 24 hour layover in the Reykjavík Airport. The sun didn't go down once and we got stuck playing with an Icelandic deck of Harry Potter playing cards (it was all I could find) with a Newspaper reporter the whole time

I saw Mike Epps live at the Funny Bone in Albany NY this past summer and he was fkn hilarious. Him and his opening act pointed me out in the crowd. Opening act said I look like a high school principal, Mike said he thought I was Wanda Sykes 😆anyhoo, he was enjoying the crowd so much that he leaned on the wall at the end of his set and just cracked jokes/freestyling for at least 30 minutes before he left. I'll be front and center again when he returns. It was a good time. (i was star struck too. i aint gon lie)
