Hi my name is JT & this is my story
I remember going to the gym 5 days & sometimes even every day / 7 days a week for 2-3 hours & even though I achieve a physique better than 80% of gym goers I was not satisfy with it because the amount of effort I was putting in & out the gym.
I was tired of that bullshit so I started to listen to Mike Mentzer & Dorian Yates, implemented what they preach ( workout less, train to failure, eat a well balanced diet & rest to let the growth process happens ) now I’m stronger & bigger than ever working out 3-4 x a week for 45min - 1hr max = 4 hours a week, now I got time for my family, for myself, to growth my business & enjoy life while still looking & feeling amazing & that’s what I want to share with you 🚀

I see the same people in the gym, year after year, spending hours upon hours daily/weekly working out and have noticed that they all ( unless using enhancing drugs ) look the same today as they did 2-3-4 years ago! Kudos for being dedicated… but really? Isn’t the idea of exercise and lifting to progress, get better? I didn’t start surfing at the age of 8 to stay in a beginners faze… no, I improved, surfed contest’s, gained sponsorship and always strove for improvement…

I see the same too it's amazing. No one keeps a training log and has a goal of beating the last workout they just pump away. How do they stay motivated to do that?

@@matthewcarbone2108 they typically have no life outside of the gym and use it as a crutch to feel a part of something is my guess! No real goal, no plan, no research, no other sport to train for… never really pushing themselves…. Simply kidding themselves for a small dose of acceptance… going home happy for 10 minutes… not to be a downer but 🤷🏼‍♂️

Depends on the goal tho. I doubt it, but it’s possible they don’t wanna be big and they just enjoy getting a pump or they wanna improve their endurance

So simple, so straightforward, so informative that its embarrassing how I've been doing 6 day a week splits for years hardheadedly. I'm looking forward to see how this new training style works for me. if this works wonders then I blame Arnold for the brainwashing haha

It’s been 4 months how was it? have you seen good progress? I’m taking a 2 week rest and starting the mentzer method next week

I have done chest day of mentzer routine. 4 days rest over, I had really pushed myself n still have a tiny bit soreness in my muscle , should I go for legs or not? If I am sore, should I wait to not be sore before working out next day in the routine? I just want to ensure am giving best rest to my body to recover n build muscle n not overtrain myself

If you rested 4 days, you should be good to go, it’s not like you super sore that won’t be able to push on legs .

Same dilema right here :), the body doesn t recover by parts was a quote from Arthur J. I usualy do one extra day off when i m feeling soreness.. I m feeling so lonely in rest days :)) but that s a grind for me, controling my urge to move weights

@@sergiura401 bro I saw an increase in my shoulder weight reps, but my incline chest is not increasing at all. Is the routine working out for you?

Since my first training i put weights on every exercise, at shoulders i increased the number of repetitions cause it s hard to change from 6kg dumbell to 7 kg... It takes me 3 trainings to move on extra 1 kg, sry 4 my english

You do chest like - machine flyes and superset with incline at machine? You have partener to assist you? I saw in 1 video that you should move from 1 exercise to another, when u superset the time you change machine must be under 5 or 3 seconds, bcs more time give muscle time to rest and acidic lactic is starting to kick off

He says he only got sore after a layoff. Training a muscle group once every 9 days to me is a layoff every week… how did he not get sorr like what?

Because the high intensity of his training dictated that his body receive greater rest. The period in which he did not train was not a layoff, but rather a recovery period. Mentzer would rest enough so that every time he came back to workout, he would already have improved strength and muscle.

High intensity training is hypertrophy plus powerlifting type of program. High reps with highest weight possible with best form ! Mike says so, 'minimum required effort' !
