Great job Mike!!! There is absolutely no feeling in the world comparable to that moment when you take off for the first time without anyone sitting in the seat next to you. You will remember that moment for the rest of your life!!! Congratulations again and i wish you many safe landings!!! I love the goosebumps comment by Lewis, it must also be a strange feeling to let your student go solo for the first time as a CFI... I hope to experience that feeling somewhere in my aviation future ;-)

Well done! The day my instructor jumped out and told me to go do what I always did I noted the increase in climb rate, but it didn't really hit me until short final that I was the only person in this thing (Cherokee 140 C-FKKF) and I needed to land it in about 10 seconds.
