I live in the Florida Keys and am amazed at Flagers railway built to Key West. If you’re ever in America, some of the abandoned rail and bridges still stand proud. Love your enthusiasm. Thanks for sharing.

Ohio is absolutely littered with abandoned 100+ year old rails and bridges, find cars in the woods along the tracks too. Found a big container once and popped the hatch and white dust flew up and it was bitter/acrid and I thought I was gonna die 😂😢

I can remember once back in the late 90's i was staying at a campsite, Swanage, Dorset, UK and id had a late night, my first borne wasnt settling, deciding sleep not important i stayed up. Come 8am i got out of my cot, put my head out the tent to get the kettle ready and was greated by a whistle and a plume of steam and the chattering of carriages and loco, Yep a steam train came hurtling by heading for corfe castle. Mate! I've never felt so awake as i did at that moment. Dorset, summer holiday, steam trains, camping, seaside, British? Ive never felt so British as i did then.

My grandpa had a model train ....town that was probably 3 times the size of mikes. Pawpaw had money and at the end of his life model trains became his hobby. I'd like to go back in time to see it again. Strange to think that one day long ago I saw it for the last time without realizing it. I wish I could be as happy as you. I've had depression and anxiety every day of my life, and although I can appreciate things, and have the whole range of emotions, they have always been stunted and behind a cloud. I've never experienced a moment of elation, or pure joy. It's all pretty flat. You seem very pure of heart and in touch with who you are. I got to experience an approximation of joy through the smile on your face vicariously. Thank you.
