Seen a couple of reactions to this album now and they only seem to focus on the music and mikes style, where as your so in tune with whats actually being said and the underlying message! Awesome job. Musically this is my favorite one. Mike is amazing, and the struggle for him will always be about going on without Chester, not just because Linkin Park was equally shared by both of them, but because Chester was his best friend. Promises he can’t keep... it’s sad and beautiful realization. He’s humble, and mourning his loss in this song and it’s just perfect. Can’t say enough good things about this, Lee. Thank you for this and your insights with Linkin Park are what makes your reaction special. So glad I decided not to skip ahead and listen to the album on my own 🥰

Thanks Lee! The next song Crossing the Line is one of my favorites. He posted on his social media acct for people to meet him at a certain place, he was going to be making a video. A lot of people showed up, considering they didn't have much notice. Seeing him interact with fans is really awesome. Have a great weekend Lee!

More broadly than it being just about Linkin Park, this song is about grappling with loss of control over your situation in life. But even within the context of losing Chester, his death meant they had to shut down parts of their business and fire dozens of people who had worked for them for years. So, that was a loss of control on so many levels, not just for him, but for people who were depending on him and their families. That’s why I feel like this one isn’t really just about Linkin Park.

he's said that the song is about him being literally kept up at night by the worry that his bandmates might feel hurt by the idea of him making solo music

If you listen closely, he says “I tried to make you better, but I made it more sick”. I’ve always wondered if this song is also about him questioning if he could have done anything else to help Chester, and finally realizing it was out of his hands. Just a thought. Great reaction, great song.❤️

This is my favorite song off of the album. The others are good, but I vibe with this one a bit more. I just love Mike and I am very happy he has continued to bless us with this true calling. Another great reaction 👏🏼
