that numerical system was developed in Italy because left , right, cross, upper ( in italian) are multi sylabe words ( destra, sinistra, croso, montante, incontro, gancio) When sparring or training, coach can word a combo faster saying single sylabe numbers.( un, du, tre, qua, cin , sei, set , ott, no)

For anyone confused about the purpose of the numbers. He's using a number for each move so his combos can be consistently referenced/commented on in the different countries he fights in. 1=left punch 2=right punch 3=left kick (mike rarely uses this 1 in the ring) 4=right kick (also rare) 5=macro for 1+4 6=macro for 2+3 7=this is mike's rage art
